Buxton, that's kind of like listening to an opera and demanding they get rid of that damn fat lady

Nah, It's just sometimes it sounds better to not use the 'blues' notes in a scale. Even a pentatonic scale is popular in film music these days. I really liked all the music, I was thinking of it in a game soundtrack context.

I tried out Loopology and it's really good. Fine quality - 32 bit as far as I can see
You could still consider releasing it. Do you know Pump Audio?:

"50% of the license fees", "You retain 100% ownership of your songs", blah blah. Maybe it's worth a look.
Yours is deluxe compared to a lot of the **** out there!

When it comes to samples I can recommend:

Free download. Try out 'Giant vinyl drums pack':

They seem to suit the rough blues sound.

Just let me know if I'm being really pushy and annoying

Not at all, thanks Adorno  . I can always use more royalty free sample sources.

One thing that I want and that it's always hard to find are good sax samples. I feel the game setting reeks of sax, being neo-noir and all, and it's really hard to find creative commons quality sax.

Yeah, it's as if the popularity of the sax got lost somewhere in the 80's
and now lurks around in the dark alleys of jazz
If I should come across some (because I haven't yet) I'll let you know.

If you want sweet sounding, orchestral, original game soundtracks you should check out the Myst series. The later games in the series (last 3 of 5 I think) are on CD even.

And about your soundtracks, I'll see if I have time in a couple weeks.
