Hello Produno,

I have greatly enjoyed this mod and I congratulate you on your stellar work so far. I am posting to report a game breaking bug I've encountered and to add some constructive criticism.

1) A quest triggered in the south western island city, the arbor or something caused a man and his raiders who's name begins with D to chase me around. This was fine, he even caught me once. However when I travelled to sisterton I got caught outside. When released I'm instantly captured again as I spawn at his location, over and over again forever. It's not possible to progress in the game for me at this point, I cannot beat that army alone.

2) I travelled across to Essos to the far reaches of the world looking for trade. However there appears to be no great focus of trade in the distant reaches. This means trade missions between the distant lands is pointless, in fact I had extremely profitable journeys between Dragonstone and Sunspear. Trade with all of the far east cities was medicore at absolute best. As such I strongly recommend you assign specialist trade goods at cheap prices to those areas with a corresponding demand of other goods produced in Westoros. This would greatly improve the mod's trade system and give the far east a greater reason to venture to.

Thanks for reporting. I shall add them both to my list. For no2 do you have any suggestions or preferences for trade goods in Essos? Anything you would like to see?

I do not know enough of the lore of the lands in Essos to know what are good trade goods for the area, but exotic goods come to mind. As the lands are close to the unknown east of magic and strange creatures, it would be fitting that trade goods such as tile and fine cloth are used. Anything that's expensive and rare to fine in Westoros would be wise, with a high demand for goods produced in the extreme north such as fur and high demand also for goods unable to be produced locally such as fish. The important thing to keep in mind with the trade in these areas is that the distance should effectively boost the price of foreign goods disproportionately compared to closely bordering cities in Westoros. A journey made in Westoros that takes but a single day should be profitable but not by much. A journey taking up to a week from Westoros to the East areas of Essos should be lucrative. Villages should receive a similar treatment, but with a very small amount of lucrative goods produced and perhaps even then produced only 50% or so of the time. I've effectively zero knowledge on the game mechanics under the hood regarding trade so I don't know if this is possible though.

One thing I've noticed on a new playthrough is that it isn't worth buying stone in the Quarry in Essos. The price should be much cheaper as the current value of 100 silver stags for one stone is for most places a net loss. A quarry of all places should be the cheapest place to buy the stone. It is balanced by stone being very heavy. During this playthrough a full load of iron and stone from the north to Bravvos and further, slowed by character to a speed of about 2.5 in daytime which is the cost of carrying it. I felt quite vulnerable to bandits and the like but thankfully was not caught.

A further recommendation I would make on Essos is that the spawning of bandits, raiders, dothraki and other miscreants be increased. The vast spaces without civilisation should give the land a Steppe theme, where its dangerous but very profitable on trade. Essos, especially the distant East is a land shrouded in mystery where few travel and the very real threat of Dragons or spooky creatures puts most off from venturing there. In the current version, its very empty with few parties of any kind seen across the land.

Excellent. All points taken. Not many people post on issues in Essos and i havnt really had much of a focus there so feeback on this area is very much welcomed.

Found a bug going to the arena at ashford.

I spawned in the wall in the middle right and ran out of the wall into the arena itself.

Should I play this mod instead of Clash of Kings?

I tried Clash of Kings a few months ago and I can't remember it all that well but some things annoyed me and made me quit.

Occasional random events would pop up like "You are wandering along and see some women bathing in a pond, what hole do you stick it in?" or something which is really weird because I play a female noble character and the responses would always end in a stat loss of some kind to STDs or getting my fingers slashed which was awful. Then I started doing the beginner quest and got forced into a fight with some knight with full armour, amazing weapon skills and enough power strike to one-shot me right after my own 20 1 handed skill 2 power strike attack bounced off his face, then more stat loss from being flogged even though he started it with the quest failed, and that just made me quit. Is this mod better? I see it's still in beta but is it polished or should I wait a while?

I played a Clash of Kings from a long time and i find this one better, Clash of Kings is more polished but without "soul" : factions are weird, character design is not so good even if items and graphics look good, scenes are pretty good but now AWOIF got nice scenes too, quests are really better in AWOIF. A clash of King can seem to be a more finished product cause you got almost no bugs and no error messages, but i prefer the spirit of AWOIF. You will get sometimes old scenes of Brytenwalda, red error messages sometimes or few bugs etc... It is not finished  The best is to try the two and make your own choice, AWOIF is definetely a mod to try but if you want something without bugs and more polished maybe you can wait a little.

Not sure how you feel about stuff in development, maybe you should wait for the final or 1.0 version of AWOIF then indulge to your heart's content, like I am. I merely briefly try each of the new versions to wet my apetite and see how the mod is progressing. It was better than ACOK as far back as 0.5 (Hell, ACOK 0.5 was better than ACOK now )

ACOK is all flash and no substance. Cozur has dumped down the gameplay to the point where it's rather inferior to vanilla. It lacks dynamics, it lacks options, it lacks choices, it lacks gameplay. The game is unbelievably grindy as well, and this is coming from someone who likes grind. But even I have limits. It looks pretty alright, and the overall design of everything is pretty seamless but even so very lackluster. As far as armors and troops go I already prefer AWOIAF by a mile.

Cozur's mod is just...empty. Try checking the taverns in hope of seeing something semi interesting. Try visiting Dorne to see what I mean. Companions are scarce to non existent, and those that are there are hardly memorable. As for quests, most are poorly designed in ACOK, the only one that I really remember and found rather cool was the one that leads you to a tournament in Vale. Wish the others were as good, and I've done most of them.

Funnily enough, I don't have problems with the stuff you seem to dislike in ACOK, even if they're objectively rather undesirable, but I have a ton of others. Namely that everything is so empty, uneventful and nothing ever happens. There are no climactic or decisive battles to be had. It becomes sadly more and more apparent as you play.

Sorry if this is kind of not appropriate for this topic, just wanted to answer Kaneko's question in thorough detail. Also because the universe begs for ACOK to be shat on whenever the opportunity arises.

Thankyou for the information. A lot of people seem to dislike the creator of ACOK. I just finished my realistic saving playthrough of native and was looking for a new land to conquer, and the last episode of telltales Game of Thrones left me wanting to take control of that incompetent house and stomp the Whitehills, then take over the world for House Forrester!

Well since it is in Beta there are more than likely going to be some issues you may run into, however I've gotten through my share of them and will say it's a nice step back from other Mods i've been on lately. It honestly feels a lot better than most, and unlike certain modders from a very specific selling mod, produno actually listens to people.

Sounds cool!

Coming here from ACoK, loving progression in this mod
First question: When will it be released? Chirstmas is a cool season to play games
Second: Can we have the minimap for battles? At least optional, for me is great to find latest troops running from me. I know maybe is lacks immersion, so if you can do it make it optional
Third: Can't the map be turned 180º so north is on the north and south is on the south? I suppose it has been discused here, but if it's only because is hard work, let me know what needs to be done and I'll try to help.

I heavely suggest you to include the "Jan Tuma´s Sturmhaube helmets" into your mod, because you can see some similar helmets in the show. https://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php?topic=239116.0 https://bbs.stardestroyer.net/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=155623&start=100

Jan Tuma's OSP is too much "Renaissance" for Game of Thrones, probably some modified version of some of the helms more medieval could fit well, for some burgonet or other kind of "fantasy" helmets but like that they don't fit well in my opinion.
