Hello

Been playing this mod (its awesome, got me back into M&B after more than a year)

But not I think my savegame got corrupted, all of my enterprises give 0 income. When I visit them they say they are using INVALID ITEM and everything is 0.

I can also not start new enterprises anymore. The dialogue option is gone.

Any ideas?

How do you take the armors in ASIF and put them in ACOK so that they can be used in morghs editor ?

Here you go

1. Download Morgh´s Editor, as well as openbrf. You will need openbrf, in order to view your resource files and choose the item you want to add

2. Look for the item you want to add in the resource folder of the mod. Sometimes it can be rather hard to locate your item of choice, as the exact item you´re looking for is hidden among all those .brf files. You therefore need to look it up manually, by opening the .brf files with OpenBrf. The resource folder can be found in the Module/Mod_Name/Resource folder of a mod. I will choose a model from the "A new dawn" mod for this. A pair of iron greaves/boots to be precise
(http://i.imgur.com/wrAPp1G.png)

3. Copy the desired .brf file into the ACOK resource folder.

4.As shown in the picture above, you will also need to find the texture of your item, which you then also need to copy into the ACOK texture folder. Which texture, belongs to which object, can be viewed in the other areas, which I encircled in red: The "Mate" section reveals the texture pairs, which you require for your object. The "Texture" section reveals every single texture related to the objects in this .brf file. The "Material" field on the other side lists the precise name of the texture necessary for this object. But note that you also need the Specular, as well as the Normalmap for the file. They´re nevertheless all listed in the "Mate" section. Obviously there might be certain exception, whereas the specular texture is for example borrowed from a data, which is also used for another similar item. Nevertheless if you simply copy every texture file listed on the mate section, you´re fine.

5. You need to do this with certain Resource files: Delete every "Structure", "Mate" and "Texture" line, which is not relating to your specific object. In my case, I require the bo_plate_boots3, bo_plate_boots3.lod1, bo_plate_boots3lod2 and the bo_plate_boots3lod3 line, and the textures related to it. Not every item has additional lod datas. However under rare circumstances, lod datas might be also saved in a seperate .brf file. So far, I encountered this only in the "Rome at War" mod. In that case you also need to add the lod brf. file into your resource folder, as well as adding it to your module.ini

6. Now open your module.ini file and add the following line under the last line of the #Item section: load_mod_resource = (name of your resource file)

7. Next open Morghs Editor and go into the Item Editor. There you will need to look for an item, equivalent or really similiar to your item. If you´re for example adding a horse, look for a horse among all the item datas which stats approximately matches your custom horse. Then press on the "add" button. Price, name, attributes and abundance can be adjusted on the section right. If you want the item to be sold on the market, you need to tick the "merchandise" box on the first table chart of the item editor. You can even set the faction culture of the item, so that they´re for example only sold in one specific kingdom. Make sure though that you update, and save before closing the editor
(http://i.imgur.com/c3M34MO.png)

8. Now you need to make the game load up the model and its texture: Go into the item.txt file of ACOK, and look for the item which you´ve just recently added. There are a lot of number and other stuff, but the only important section for us, is this part over here (encircled in red):
It shows, which model the game is loading up. You need to change it, to the model name, shown in the .brf file. In my case its "bo_plate_boots3". Don´t change any other value. You would mess up your game.

9. Basically you´re done. Go into the troop editor section of Morgh´s Editor to add the item to your unit of choice. The troop editor section of ACOK is nevertheless rather messy. You won´t for example find Vale units, by just typing in "Vale" in the search bar below. This is due to the faction units being named after sarranid units, possibly from another mod, like Floris. Hasn´t been changed ever since.
You could just change the name if you want. Though I´am afraid that some sort of script is related to certain units. So I keep my hands of it. Don´t forget to update, and save your units. The process is similar to how you would add an item in morghs. NEVER use one of the placeholder units, which are listed on the editor section. Always add if you want to make a new unit.

10. Sometimes your item won´t show up. In this case, it is due to the item range being fixed, for whatever reason. In that case you would need to increase your item range manually in the menu.txt file. You should look this up on the web, if thats your problem.

Wow, thanks a lot mate !

Any chance you could post ur item.kinds txt and save us a lot of trouble?

I prefer the armors in A Clash of Kings overall. The other mod has a few nice looking armors but... Most of it just doesn't have the right feel to me.

I had a payday issue once too....

Long story short, your ****ed, make up some imaginative reason for your bug like "darn, my Lorathi enemies sabatoged my enterprises" or just start a new game.

Likewise. WOIAF has some cool looking armors but I can't imagine going through all of that trouble to add them in when ACOK still looks good. I prefer the more muted look of ACOK as opposed to the bright WOIAF look. It really boils down to whether you fall more on the realism or fantasy side, and I tend to go with the former.

Just a freindly reminder. I dont mind people using items made specifically for my mod in others, as long as its private use. Uploading modified mod files though however to share such content is against the rules.

He is right. Produno as well as other modders are working hard to create quality mods. You´re armors and items are really awesome by the way, and many would agree on that. So I can´t and don´t want to upload content, which is not rightfully mine.

Yeah I haven´t replaced all armors. Cozur and the modellers aiding him made some great armors and items. However compared to most other mods, there are very few in numbers. Most of the Northern, Westerland, Stormlands, Dragonstone, Vale and Reach armors I left untouched. In many cases its just the mounted units, which I´ve changed the armors off. The only factions completely refurbished are the Ironborns, Sisterton, Dorne, the Sellsword companies and the unique units which you can recruit in ports or cities (Too many Surcoats...).

The initial reason for me change the look of certain units, is because I wanted to prevent the, I call "Andalusianskirmisher effect". Basically certain units, from different cultures, wearing the same armor. Why Andalusianskirmisher effect? Check out, I think it was the Elyrian Javelinman, which you can recruit in the Volantis port. Look out for units wearing the same armour. The name of the armor model is the "Andalusianskirmisher armor". Yeah I´am minimalistic about this, I know.

These are all item files which you can find in the ACOK 2.0 folder, fully textured and modelled. Nevertheless they were simply not included into the final mod. Exceptions may be the sword. Those are only a few. There are whole .brf resource files, which just simply weren´t merged into the mod. I think the obsidian dagger was even there since 1.8 or so. Also considering the 2.1 changelog, it doesn´t seem as any future armor update is being planed.

So if you´re keen on the once erased but now newly added bastard swords (or just new items) but don´t want to loose your safe files, I recommend adding those items to your game manually.

Let's just stop all this "I've created my own modified text files" discussion, shall we?

It serves no purpose, as you're not allowed to share them anywhere without my permission anyway. Which you do not have.

And if Produno could keep out of this thread instead of popping in here every once in a while, that'd be swell.

Yeah... I don't think you can ban someone from your thread like that unless you're a mod for the site and have a good reason. :ohdear:

Cozur, stop acting like an immature spoiled child please.

And your not allowed to kick someone off a public forum without the admins permission anyways. which you do not have.

Sorry for his rudeness pruduno, and sorry for being harsh cozur, but I'm just the type of person who has to stand up when someones being bullied.

Are you supposed to be able to spend a night with the whores in Braavos only once?

Why waste money on whores even once?

No but really, Im pretty sure you can only sleep with whores once. Btw they are scattered all over the world, the cheapest ones are in Stoney Sept, the most expensive ones are in Kings Landing. However, they give you nothing, not even a porno cutscene, so dont waste your money

Found a bug, not sure if it's just on my end or if it was already reported.

Also something strange happened, I never had encountered the Tattered Prince anywhere but when I created my kingdom I hired his mercenary company but now he defected to another kingdom... I also heard that he was supposed to be a companion? can anyone explain this to me? is he a companion? is he just a mercenary company you can hire or is he a lord that you can "buy"?

Never had the intention to upload modfified files. Somebody asked, if somebody merged  items of the game with other mods. I said yes and posted screenshots, and showed everybody a way of doing it for their own.

Never even mentioned anything about uploading files if you actually read my posts

Says the guy, who creates fake accounts to downvote other mods.

I'd imagine discussions like these are probably a very good reason Cozur does not want Produno causing problems in his thread.

Whoa, back up a minute. Where have i caused problems? I was replying to others discussing the use of private armours from my own mod in other mods. There was zero problems until someone started making problems.

As long as i follow the rules of the board then i can post wherever i damn well please and shall continue to do so.
