Hes not asking for how they are alike. Hes just asking for peoples opinion on the two.
I have played both, admittedly i have sunk way more hours in POP. POP is much harder and is a more complete product with little to no bugs that i know of. However the subject matter on this MOD is much more interesting. Also this mod is still being finished. I enjoy this mod, give it more time and it will only get better.
As i side note, i know its been said that the Nights watch wont be in this mod and a rediculous amount of hostility is thrown at whoever dares mention it. However i feel the NW is a key part of the Lore and its just a shame to not have them included in some way. Is there any way or do you have any inclination at all to include in some form or another in the future? There is clearly alot of fan demand for it. Imagine the quests that could go with it.
I love your MOD and have nothing but praise for it, im just asking about one of the most interesting parts of the lore to be included.

Think of the Knight orders in POP. Im not saying thats how the NW should be handled im just saying that there are ways to put them in without making them a full blown faction. Why cant they be similar to the wandering Mercenary Companies, Patrolling around the Gift and the Wall dealing with the wildling menace. You could perhaps have them as a limited faction. Im no modder so i dont know wahts possible but ( i know i keep referencing POP) what if castle Black was like the Noldor Castle in POP. Sending out small patrols of rangers etc to deal with the wildlings.
Also being true to the lore is all well and good but you can take a few liberties for gameplay surely. I mean the way the factions diplomacy works is hardly lore friendly is it.
As for people of westeros not knowing about them, they do know of them they just dont hold much respect. and besides we as the readers and viewers of the books and show know all about the NW and are very interested. This MOD is awesome and by asking for more features that is showing how much we like it and want more of it. Not sure why i and others are met with such hostility.
Also it being in the development stage still now is the time to ask or give ideas for features.
As i side note is the map ever going to be extended North of the Wall? the 1st thing i did was travel to the wall and you cant really get to it let alone past it.
Anyway once again i LIKE this mod. just voicing my opinion.

Think of the Knight orders in POP. Im not saying thats how the NW should be handled im just saying that there are ways to put them in without making them a full blown faction. Why cant they be similar to the wandering Mercenary Companies, Patrolling around the Gift and the Wall dealing with the wildling menace. You could perhaps have them as a limited faction. Im no modder so i dont know wahts possible but ( i know i keep referencing POP) what if castle Black was like the Noldor Castle in POP. Sending out small patrols of rangers etc to deal with the wildlings.
Also being true to the lore is all well and good but you can take a few liberties for gameplay surely. I mean the way the factions diplomacy works is hardly lore friendly is it.
As for people of westeros not knowing about them, they do know of them they just dont hold much respect. and besides we as the readers and viewers of the books and show know all about the NW and are very interested. This MOD is awesome and by asking for more features that is showing how much we like it and want more of it. Not sure why i and others are met with such hostility.
Also it being in the development stage still now is the time to ask or give ideas for features.
As i side note is the map ever going to be extended North of the Wall? the 1st thing i did was travel to the wall and you cant really get to it let alone past it.
Anyway once again i LIKE this mod. just voicing my opinion.
Do you want to implement an entirely new faction, make all the models, scripts, quests, scenes and all that? Then PM to join the team and I'm sure we can work something out.
Remember, I'm a one-man team, with Caractacus doing some freelance scenes, so I can't do everything, and the NW is never, ever, going to a priority.
