Are you actually sure there are "knights" of some sort in the Riverland army? I haven't really fought with/against them, but the one or two times I did I only saw that they have pikemen, crossbowmen and mounted archers.
Best just look at your lord's or your king's army and see what high tech units they have. As far as it goes I can only assure you that in Westeros the Westerlands, Dragonstone, the Stormlands, Reach and Dorne have Knights.
I'm pretty sure the Iron Islands and the North, perhaps even the Vale don't have cavalry, perhaps it's the same way with the riverlands?

Are you sure about Alexos and Garret? I've been playing with them since day 1 and I haven't seen any conflits at all. Are you using the ACOK 0.93 with Patch 1?

I've been looking for several hours now. I'm unable to find a troop upgrade tree that can show me the future upgrades. More specifically I've been serving Riverlands for 100 days and I'm swordsman, haven't had a promotion in a long time, so I wonder if this is my end here.

As I understand the troop tree has been removed? Does anyone have the reference, I need to know whether I should keep in service or go my own ways. I'm hoping to go into a horse-ride rank at some point with lance etc. Also is there a way to "reset" this enlistment rank, like say I don't want to be a spearman anymore but would rather go in way of archer?

And there Ned explains Bran exactly this as his son points out he wants to become a knight.
I told nothing more or less than that the North has no "knights"...

But it's the internet and no harm taken. But anyways, it seems as you haven't read the books as the seven is actually the official religion in White Harbor and it even says when Robb goes to war that he brings (Can't remember exact number) about 800 knights if i'm correct.

But it's the internet and no harm taken. But anyways, it seems as you haven't read the books as the seven is actually the official religion in White Harbor and it even says when Robb goes to war that he brings (Can't remember exact number) about 800 knights if i'm correct.

OK, you're right: White Harbor belongs to the North and has the Seven as their religion.
Now mod-wise it only seems strange to me if "Northern" Troops should "become" knights as elite troops just because there's a relatively small part of the North that has the actual knights. You understand my problem I have with every Northern Infantry Troop becoming a "knight"?

Edit2: Oh btw, why can Myr not "recruit" their favorite crossbowmen (except for in the cities or as sellswords in taverns)?
That leads me to another small "bug" (if you want to call it that): The problem is that if I select a culture for my kingdom, it still only lets me recruit "sergeants" in my cities. Isn't too bad since I'm in general a pretty good trainer, but I just wanted to mention it nevertheless because it seems wrong to me...

Nope, White Harbour should train serjeants exactly as anyother castle/town can do in the rest of the seven kingdoms. Troops don't become knights in rest of the westeros so your point is invalid. And White Harbour is actually quite a big area in the north. Anyways not trying to be rude.

You are right, they do not have a lot of knights, cause the old faith does not have knighthood, but some of the northmen have the seven as theire gods. Lord Manderly of Whiteharbor has a lot of knights. Even one guys of House Greyjoy who visited the "greenlands" for a long time is a knight, but the most of the ironborn make fun of him. But the north have cavalery even if they are not knights. Does knighthood make a men a better fighter? I don't think so, look at Sandor Clegane!

So if you have read the books before, read them again and look close Lord Manderly is with Bolton at the end of book 4/5 and he brings a lot of knights with him. Of course, the Riverlands, the Vale and the Westerlands have much more of them, but at least every 1 of 10 riding men in the north army is a knight.

Are you sure about Alexos and Garret? I've been playing with them since day 1 and I haven't seen any conflits at all. Are you using the ACOK 0.93 with Patch 1?

The term "Knight" in this mod, and if you think about it in the books as well, is just a word. They're not better soldiers. They're not all like Sandor or Jaime. There are plenty of knights who are just regular guys, maybe with better equipment and a horse. That's about it. So whether or not the North employs "knights" as their elite cavalry doesn't even matter. In the mod, they can be compared to the other factions' knights. They're just not called knights because the majority of the North still have the Old Gods as their religion. If you REALLY wanted the North to have "knights" then just edit the troop file to call them Northern Knights.

It's a very minor point with an easy fix/change. Not something that needs to be argued about.
