game minimizing every 5 minutes or so!

I have never had any problems with M&B or any toher game that i can remember, but the last week anytime I play M&B or another game every 5-10 minutes the game will minimize into the toolbar.  Nothing else pops up, and often the game will continue once I press on the game tag, but it is really annoying.  Now last weekend I took it to staples for a free "debugging and spyware removal", but it's hard to believe that is the problem.  Any help?  Thanks.

I am running windows vista and don't have any antivirus right now.
