Game Map Movement Improvement

Sergeant at Arms
These are just minor suggestions that would improve the map screen gameplay in my opinion.

First, I would like to suggest a Follow Command(there's one for him to follow you, I want otherwise too) dialogue option when you talk to your King or Lords of your faction. I was hired as a mercenary and the need to stop, hold ctrl+space to wait my King's party to move a bit forward for me to follow him many times started to make me bored.

The ability to choose the speed that you travel would be good too. Of course, nothing that exceeds your maximum speed but something that reduce it. It would make escorting the caravans better, herding the cattle better and be followed by your friendly Lords better. No more stop, ctrl+space, move.

Tracking, I always looked at the arrows in the ground and thought to myselft "It would be good to be able to follow the arrows automatically." Besides that, many times I started following a track manually and when it was near other tracks, or I couldn't find the track I was following in first place, or I followed a wrong track.

Tracking again, many times I saw an X that said that a battle ocurred there. So what? I think that, maybe with the skill Looting, you could click in there and see if people let some loot, so you could get it for you.

The last idea sounds good but think of the implications, you could follow around some large army and take pickings from the battlefield, sure you could implement that there is less loot from old battlefields, but when your right near a battle and you wait for it to finish, a rule like that wouldn't apply, if you can think of a way to apply it without people being able to cheat like that, tell us, I'll be happy to listen.

Second one, maybe, tracking is meant to be able to show where other groups have gone, maybe at higher tracking levels you can choose to automatically follow them? With maybe a speed boost?

First one, (yes I'm going backwards) the grammar is a bit hard to understand, "...I want otherwise too) "<<<what does that mean? but I haven't really found a problem with it because i tend to adventure with my own warband so someone else should answer that.

I meant there's the dialogue option to make Lords and Kings to follow you, but not a dialogue option for you to follow them. It would be useful for the War campaign quest wich you need to be near the king's party the whole time.

Tell me what else you didn't understand and I'll try to make it clear.

Yes, can't be something like 0 tracking, 3-4 sounds good to me. Speed boost would be nice but I would be glad already by automatically following tracks.

In low levels I already follow manhunters like a remora attached to a shark, letting them do the job while I kill 1 or 2 (specially now with the character bug where I was born only with a shield) just to get some loot, so I don't think it would be much trouble. When I had this idea of looting battlegrounds I didn't think of it like something very big, just thought of it like another feature for tracking and looting. You click the X and puff, a looting window menu appear and that's it. Of course you wouldn't find a Spirited Charger, Watered-Steel Scimitar and gold, just some low-end items, with a small chance of finding something good.

But now, thinking about it, to avoid this abuse specially at lower levels, as in high levels you already have good equip, maybe something like the Bandit's ambush in cities and villages could occur, but a random encounter against the Looters. And if you find it late, before the track decays, it could be already looted by the other Looters and if you're lucky you find their party and rob them.

EDITED:
now about your looting battlefields one, good ideas, im running with the looters one, from small battlefields, low end items and less chance of looters, with looters being weaker, while after big battlefields large amount of maybe tough looters (because they had to kick other looter teams of the battlefield looting turf) will have higher chances to appear, of course big battlefields mean bigger armies and a bigger army means the person who led them probably equipped them well, so if your ready to deal with a high chance of running into tough looters in a big battlefield, by all means, loot away.

Well change Looters troop tree to "Looter, Scavenger, Salvager" Make looters wear crappy gear, scavengers have a bit of chipped weapons and some scummy armor, and have salvagers have crude but good armor, worn but good shields, and bent but good bows, swords, pikes, etc
