Need More Info Game keeps crashing while starting

Summary: Whenever I start the game it chrashes. Before the 1.6.0 update there was no error. This is the crash report number 2021-08-05_11.56.39_bb457dd521d994c704ceab60c65abef4

Have you tried verifying the game files or a clean install while we are investigating the issue?

Clean Install
The clean install is removing every single game-related file from your computer and installing the game again. Why do you need to remove the game while you just want to remove the modifications? Unfortunately, some of the modifications do not just add a new modules folder but also change or adds contents to the existent modules folder. Without a reinstall, we can't be sure those files are unchanged.

To perform a Clean Install, Uninstall the game. You can do that by right-clicking the game on Steam Library and selecting Delete Local Content. Delete all folders related to the game that remains after the uninstallation. The folders that might have files inside:
Steam: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
Epic: C:\Program Files\Epic Games\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord
C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord
C:\ProgramData\Mount and Blade II Bannerlord

Note: You'll need to allow Windows to display hidden folders and files to see the ProgramData folder and its contents.

I think the crashes won't appear because of the mods. I already reinstallt the game and on the previous version of the game everything functioned without any problems.

i have the same issue but i dont use mods. i tried verifying the files, reinstalled the game, also checked for some windows updates cause i had removed one prior before it stopped working, but still no luck. i have also tried deleting the config, but it did not help. it stopped working from one day to another without any game updates in between as far as i remember

edit: this is a really interesting coincidence, with the update i mean... i had to manually search for it and reinstall it, now bannerlord works again. no other games were affected by this. the update is called KB2670838, its for win 7. it made fraps unable to record desktop, but i didnt need that anymore

I have the same issue. Performed a factory reset on my laptop. Reinstalled the game, verified game files, windows 10 and gpu driver is up to date, deleted the bannerlord folder in documents, and made sure the launcher is exempted from the anti-virus and firewall. Also made sure the .net framework and the microsoft visual C++ are installed.

The only way I can play the game is if I open it with the Bannerlord.Native file instead of the launcher. I got to the main menu and got to start up a new game and load into a saved game as well. But I cannot use mods if I do it like this. My latest crash report is "2021-08-08_15.21.36_cdc2d91b3812dd17f387ed7cd5d03784"

If you devs could tell me if I'm missing a program to play it through the launcher that would be awesome.

Is your GPU and OS up to date?
Can you verify the game files and update it to the latest version (it should do it automatically) and try reproducing this issue again?

Everything was up to date and like I said the error appeared after I downloaded the newest game version.
