Game freezing at nightfall

So basicly I have 200 and something days of gameplay, a 300 hundred men party and I have this savegame I load it up and everytime the time reaches nightfall I hear the wolf howl and warband freezes and the only way I have to stop this is to shut down the process. I cant keep up my play. Any explenation? :s

Ai that is nasty....do you have multiple saves? What happens if you load a savefile before your last one, does he still freeze when you get to the same day and time?

Only have that one savegame... no matter what I do when nightfall happens a couple hours later from where I load the game freezes :c

How old is your savegame? I mean Version of Brytenwalda you began it.
If it is 1.396 savegame, have you tried reinstall Warband or Brytenwalda?

Rgl_log.txt is in your warband folder.

I began it with the last brytenwalda version just a couple days ago.  I did not reeinstall anything. I just installed the mod, began playing and then this.

This isnt rgl_log when you get froze problem. This is native rgl_log

I know this is old but I'm having the exact same problem. My game worked flawlessly until this point but now it's freezing solid as soon as the sun sets. I already tried disabling vsync and forcing single threading, as well as reducing all the graphics options to the lowest settings. I assume it's some kind of script error but I have no clue what to do about it.

This really bites because I'm at about day 400. This is the third or fourth time I've gotten to this point but something always happens that ****s my game up beyond saving.

Can I at least get a tip on how to disable/modify certain events?

well if trying to help clarify the problem and point to a solution is a bad thingy, I guess I will just move on  :razz:

last comment: you may try Reworked, as it still has a active modder. Its not BW vanilla, but you can check the balance changes and gameplay differences on the appropriate thread. And yes, it will require a new game too.

You probably corrupted a save game.
Go back to your last savegame.
If you tweak of fiddle with Repolished text files, this will  happen.
Even if you don't, it may happen.
I can design custom workaround for Reworked players.
But save every 2-3 days and keep at least 15 saves for any mod!!!

I never touched the files, but I've been thinking maybe there's something scripted to happen at dusk that won't load for whatever reason. In that case I could just remove whatever that is from the save file and it should work- only problem is I have no clue how to do that. Any chance you could help me out?

I tried my last save and the exact same thing happened, no difference.

Simple and normal triggers run at many different intervals.
You can't really change that.
The wolf always howls at dusk, but that would be an unlikely cause.
Are you hearing Mr. Wolf?

Yep, I also get the little message that says "the sun sets" and then it freezes solid.

I just tried starting a new game and waiting a day, it worked fine.

Something is wrong with an interaction with your triggers or simple triggers files.
One of the most common problems is when an unusual political event occurs and the triggers don't know what to do with it.
For example, a lord defects but doesn't join another kingdom or a kingdom disappears.
I've tried to add exception handling to prevent problems, but they occur.

Another possibility is that a dusk script was called and you lost the skybox or audio file that is called.

Did you edit or TweaMB either of these?
They are very sensitive.

I would generate one for you from reworked, but I've completely 'reworked' the triggers so they don't cause so many problems for players.
