You mean loading a game?
This could be one of several issues.
1. The savegame is from a prior version and is incompatible with the latest version (if the save is from before 7.10)
2. The savegame file is corrupt and is causing the PC to crash.
Not a lot you can do in either case. It may be worth starting a new game, saving and seeing if you can continue that game.
