Resolved Game crashes while loading a file

Users who are viewing this thread

Version number
No, I didn't use any mods.

Summary:While fighting in a battanian army against a Vlandian one, the game crashes immediately upon load, citing a decompression failure while loading "Empire_armor.tpac". This crash also occurs during multiplayer, and validating game files does not solve the issue. Oddly, the game runs normally until the notice is dismissed, at which point it attempts to terminate the application.

This workaround will fix the issue.

A certain fix for “.tpac” file related crashes

If you crash with a decompression failure problem, you can try the workaround below to fix it:
  • Open: “C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\Modules\Native\AssetPackages” folder.
  • The error message should have the name of a file with the file extension “.tpac”.
  • Locate and delete the file in the AssetPackages folder.
  • Verify the game files.
