Closed game crashes whenever entering any location (arenas, taverns, cities)

Took an extended break after 1000+ hours of gameplay (1.2.7 was last playthrough) and came back to the game crashing entering any location at all, I've verified files, done a clean install, booted in safe mode and have not been able to enter any location still

I've tried running it in both 1.2.10 and 1.2.7 and they both have the same issue of constant crashing


OS: Windows 11
GPU: RTX 4090
GPU Driver Version:
CPU: i9 13900k
RAM: 32 gigs ddr5
Storage Device (HDD/SSD): 2tb nvme ssd

this is on multiple new save files, including clean reinstall which deletes all saves

The crash looks like a GPU Crash. Could you try updating your GPU drivers and try again?

I solved it for now, it's unfortunately a problem independent of the game and its cpu related.

many i9 chips apparently have this issue where the default bios (for gigabyte and asus mobos) setting is not the correct setting for the chip and for whatever reason causes video memory errors

I have been crashing as well, and I have been looking for solutions here and there. You mentioned about it being related to i9 chips and gigabyte/asus mobos. Have you gotten yours fix? If yes, how did you do it?

Did this on the 18th and have not had any system instability since, used to have games crash all the time.

Thanks, I'll give it a try cause I just literally crashed. I'll give an update on whether am I still crashing or not.

Update: Lifesaver my guy, today is a great day for me indeed. No crashing at all, and I can finally enjoy Bannerlord's gameplay in peace.
