Game crashes when trying to save settings and doesn't save, unable to locate...

Game crashes when trying to save settings and doesn't save, unable to locate the folder with the config file in it etc. The problem is I don't strictly have a my documents on windows 7, I have these libraries and one links to a documents on an external HDD but for some reason it isn't putting the save folders and config there. I'm not sure where they are, if they are?

I have the UAC controls off so I know its not running as admin etc... anyone have any ideas? I'm kinda stumped. Thanks in advance.

EDIT* I have the steam version which didn't work so I tried the normal version but the same thing occurs.

anyone? I bought warbands 2 days ago and its pretty unplayable/pointless without being able to save

Warband's saves/settings are stored in your C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\ folder under \Mount&Blade Warband Savegames\
and settings, character exports, screenshots etc under \Mount&Blade Warband\

Some profile information is under C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Mount&Blade Warband\

Do you have space on your C drive?

I am only using 450gb of 1tb atm, and I haven't got that folder in the

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\Documents\

, there is however a folder in the

C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Roaming\Mount&Blade Warband\

Are your documents stored in the USERNAME\Documents\ folder? Do you have some super-strict Windows UAC settings?
You may wish to reinstall, as the folders I named should be created when you install Warband.

My UAC is turned off :/ hmm.

Ok tried a reinstall but the folders didn't get put in my 'documents' folder again.. :/

I had to change my documents location in the registry.

im am having this problem now and is really annoying me D: but my M&B folder is installed in
D:Steam/SteamApps/Common/Mountandblade:warband.. can any one help me? it crashes when i try to save setting and also cannot remember when i change character name
