In Progress Game crashes when loading recent game save

So, as people know, the 1.0.1 patch came out today. So, whenever I try to load up my game from the past patch to make a new save for the patch, it crashes my game. Does anyone have a super simple fix for this? I also have a terrible pc, so I need something that won't mess it up too much.
