Game crashes when entering castle

I have recently begun to play Mount & Blade:Warband, but have been bugged for the last 2 days with crashes when either entering a castle or taking part in an assault on a castle. I would really appreciate some help here as I totally love this game.

I don't know what the module.ini is , but I have found a file with similar codes called rgl_config , but I couldn't find the specific codes that you've mentioned.

No I can't find that module thingy , I can find the Native file , I opened it with notepad ( thanks for mentioning to open with Notepad) but I found a file with my saved games and some other file with Computer language. Should I like somewhere else? I downloaded it through steam.

Module.ini file should be inside this folder;
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\mountblade warband\modules\native

If you can't find it, search for it in program files.

If you are seeing your saved games you are looking at My Documents; you should be looking at the game files inside program files.

Ok , i went through my steam files but I found a file called module , not module.ini , so still didnt find the code :/

Kleid has given you the exact path. The file will be there. Perhaps you don't have your file extensions turned on in your Windows Explorer?

Likely if that is the case, Windows UAC will also prevent you from editing the file since it is in Program Files, so you'll need to copy it to Desktop, make the change there (0 to 1) and then move it back, copying over the original.

Ignore the .ini then. Just open the file "module" at the path that Kleid pointed out above. If it begins
Code:
module_name = Calradia
compatible_with_warband = 1
then you found the right file. Copy it to your desktop, make the change noted, save the file, and then move it back to its original location in the ...Warband\Modules\Native\ folder.

Found it , I guess i'm a bit blind as I went through the file a couple of times , many thanks for the kind support! I'll now test the game and see if it still crashes.

Now it says no modules installed , so I quickly figured out that I forgot to put it back where I took it from . So i put it back and try to start the game again and again it says no modules installed , do I have to reboot my pc in order to 'save' the changes i've made to the file? Or just reboot steam?

I don't get it ... I've made the change , saved it , put it back in its folder but the game says no Modules installed?! )=

You sure the module.ini file is there in ...warband\Modules\Native\ again and your Windows UAC didn't some how stop you from copying it?

Also, you only changed the one number 0 to 1, right and the rest of the file is still intact?
