Husn Fulq was in my factions possession but was being sieged by Aletheri.
I waited for them to conquer the city and leave.
They left leaving only 65 defenders behind in the city.
I then sieged the city with my 90 men and retook it.
A 600+ army of Adram then sieged me while I was inside the city.
I waited for them to attack so that I could defend from inside the city.
When I got the notice that they were attacking and I opted to fight, the game crashed.
I reloaded the save and tried again with same result.
This was the first time I had ever attempted to defend from inside a city.

Game crashes are often caused by outdated/broken mods altering game files. Please try disabling all mods, verfiying your game files, and recreating this crash on a new unmodded campaign. If the game still crashes, I can forward this to the developers. However, we cannot offer technical support for modded games. Please read our statement here.

Yes. Thank You . I am well aware of risks associated with using mods. Using mods is really not acceptable in testing a beta release but I find the mods have features I like in the game. I have no expectation of them working either.
That being said, on a new game I had an early opportunity to defend a city from within and it worked fine without a crash, although the volume of 'troops' in it were far less than the reported occurrence.
I am thinking that I will wait for the e1.4.2 beta to become a 'main branch' and opt out of betas on Steam. Either that, or I will stay with betas but not use any mods whatsoever.
No worries, I support this game and the devs efforts 100%.
