Need More Info Game crashes after 30 seconds of doing anything.

Hello! I've checked everywhere I could for solutions to this but haven't found any.

My game crashes after about 30-60 seconds in game/campaign mode. I have about 90 hours of playtime, but that whole time I was crashing every 20 or so minutes, usually less. So I Installed a EVGA 1660 super 6gb GPU, and upgraded to windows 10, hoping that would help, as the crashing was getting worse, and I was getting some frame-rate loss with my old GPU. Now I cannot play any of my saves without the game crashing after 30-60 seconds.

I've run some temperature and process tests, and it doesnt seem to be from overheating. I've done a fresh format and windows 7 install+10 upgrade. All my updates are to date, I've verified game files, and I've done a lot of other troubleshooting.

I did notice while installing the game, steam would crash constantly, and I had to reload steam to continue the download.
I did notice now as well that when I play another game called Avorion, it crashes often. It is run via steam as well - I have 1000 hours in that game, and the crashing is new.

Is this a hardware issue? Or should I just wait for a game update? I've already spent about $400 fixing up the computer to play this, and I'm considering building a new computer as my current one is about 8 years old anyways.

How old is the drive? 8 years?

Would consider that as an option.

Check Windows logs (System + Application) for crash events and see.

If it's a drive there'll probably be indications in the System log.
