Game completion challenge

I've been hankering for a new challenge for a Warband game (as if playing through to completion isn't challenge enough), and I've read a couple of posts regarding game completions done in pretty impressive time frames. Best I've done was around 3,500 game days time with 12,000 personal kills. Someone posted a female character winning in roughly 1800 days with around 18,000 personal kills. Any of you "completers" got anything better than that?

I'm thinking of trying to pull it off in a 1,000 days...

same here, i have sacked ichamar, and rallied against the vaegirs hold of narra for laying waste to my villages. they sought peace, )and i foolishly accepted(

for i am raising my men to be elite, and take the battle to their land.

A CLEAR SWATH AGAINST THEIR HARMONY AND LIVLIHOOD.

however, i was actually hoping for them to take back narra so i wouldnt antagonize the kherj...

/chinrub... drat.

On my current play through (680 days in) I have a total of 13000 kills (counting nearly 6k knocked on conciousbecause I used military hammer for the first half or so of the game).

If I really wanted to I could probably finish the game by day 750, maybe 800 depending on how bad the Rhodoks beat me (they been turteling in the moutains all game).

That is if I really wanted to... Personally I find ransacking castles non-stop boring so I don't really push to finish the game until I get left with that one last opponent.

Never really got to the end myself yet. I've played since about 2010, then stopped for some time, now playing again and already managed to restart like 3 times. Now, hopefully, going till the end, but I still like to take my time. Became a vassal of one faction, been helping them in a war, then they declared truce and I asked to be released from oath. Now am a vassal of another faction, will probably stick with them until I've got enough renown, honor, and experience to start my own faction

I'm an ax and and crossbow guy, I've got around 3,000 kills and 100 knockouts on current character at day 690, and I'm in the mix of every battle. I'd be done with this particular game already with 13K personal kills.

And, the more I've thought about it, the more doable it seems to complete a game under 1,000 days, but I truly doubt it is possible (for me) without diplomacy mod and medium or easy settings. I pulled up this earlier game I had set aside and began playing it through but with really favorable circumstances...Nords and Swadians were defeated early and diplomacy settings kept exiled lords from returning. My faction is largest with 9 towns, Yaroglek and Graveth are in my dungeon and these two weakest will go down first. The Rhoddok's may have only 5 lords but as always, those towns and castles are stacked with sharpshooters and sergeants.

I have been playing since original M&B and love both games. Never managed to finish, however, as I get bored about 2 years into a campaign and start a new character. I am really enjoying the Diplomacy mod though and I may even finish this time around.....maybe.

I do not like fast-playing...
I'm more into slow-paced and serious gameplay.. to have time to discover everything in game...

The same thing, and also to experience world of calradia in more realistic way

Yes.. Some time ago, my main goal in every game was to complete it faster I could... Then I said ''Why shouldn't I play game slowly and more serious'' and you know what? - I like that way of playing much much more..

I don't want to finish it. It seems to be boring to find myself alone in Caladria with no enemies to fight with..

Never got more than half of Calradia before starting a new game as another class or getting addicted to another mod. Actually because I play with 100% damage to self and realistic save option so I ragequit a lot

You guys crack me up. There's nothing "un-serious" or "less challenging" by trying for a completion that doesn't happen until the next century. In fact, I think it is "more serious" and definitely "more challenging" to use the skills you've developed or learned to the maximum and to go for the ultimate objective. I'm not talking "slash and burn" strategy...I'm terrible at combat myself...but as a sandlot game "the world of Calradia" is not that darned complex, once you've done every quest, been ambushed in every town, village and tavern 50 times over, etc..  I don't fault you for preferring a slower and more plodding game play, but faulting my "challenge" question by suggesting that my game-play is less serious just makes me laugh.

I could suggest that you "realistic" and "more serious" players find the prospect of completing a game --in any given time frame-- just too daunting?

I hear you. Even on "easiest" settings it took me 3500 days (or so) to get through a game the first time. I keep settings now on medium and "realistic" save option. Of course, getting to completion got easier after I stopped chasing cattle and burning villages like all those "serious" players do.  My current game is around day 750 with 13 towns, 2 factions eliminated, and I haven't burned a village yet, although I instruct my vassals to burn 'em all.

1800 days??? Are sure youre playing ver 1.153? .Because with the mass defection bug you wont face any resistance by day 350 or so, allowing you to take castles one by one even by yourself. Last time i conquered the wolrd it took me around 820 days and it was a "thou shall never hire mercenaries" + "dont loot villages" challenge. If you wanted you could conquer the world in 700 in the current version, but as mentioned before, its very boring.

Re-reading my original post, the "1800" days was someone else's game from some time ago. My best was around 3500 playing native, original version. You guys who say you are conquering Calradia in 700 days ---are these "scratch" characters on something other than "easiest" settings? I don't doubt your abilities but I find that impressive. In current game I'm playing the current version with diplomacy mod and a mass defection happened while two factions were being eliminated. Exiled lords can't return (diplomacy settings) so it's a strange game. I was still running around as a merc when that went down.

BTW, I've been taking castles and towns by myself for some time, all games, all versions. I actually prefer it because all those peasants get in the way of my troop stacks...vassals' crossbowmen standing on the ladders shooting into the sky, etc.
