Hello there! When I play M&B 2, it tends to cause my system to overheat, most likely due to extreme disk or memory usage. After playing for anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour, this has oftentimes caused my laptop to do a hard shutdown (no specific event-related cause).
System specs:
Inspiron 7559
Intel Core i7-6700HQ CPU @ 2.60 GHz processor
16 GB RAM
64 bit OS
Graphics card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 960M
If my system just isn't cut out to play this game I'll have to accept that, but it would be a bummer because I'm a longtime M&B fan, plus this doesn't happen to me with any of the other games I've played on this laptop (Stellaris, Civ 6, XCOM 2, Elder Scrolls Online, etc.).
I've seen some other suggestions made about fixing a faulty PSU or adjusting the advanced power settings, but I wanted to see here if there have been any more concrete fixes discovered for this particular problem. Please let me know, and thank you very much!
