gaining honour and misc

Users who are viewing this thread

Hi all,

I have several questions and one comment

1. What is the importance of gaining much honour ?
2. What is the importance of having a good relationship with a Lady ?
3. What is Zendar (a name that I see in the forum) ?

Comment.

In M&B  native (and other mods) too, the game is interesting at the beginning. Once you manage to have a large army with elite troops, then you become unbeatable and the game becomes boring. This is because your opppenent never has a as good quality army as you do. TO my mind, this should be rebalanced by having elite troops (especially calvalry) cost much higher.

Honourable lords will like you more, dishonourable lords will like you less. This is only really important if you decide to join a claimant and overthrow a kingdom.

Once you have a decent relationship level with one of the ladies you can ask them to deliver gifts for you to raise your relations with a Lord of their faction.

A neutral town that was in older versions of the game.

Try Native Expansion or Expanded Gameplay III, both increase the difficulty of the game, making even the later stages challenging. And of course if you don't already have it grab the Battle size changer, allowing the enemy to field more of their men at a time makes your elite troops less overpowering.

Pretty much what Moss just said. Bear in mind that the Lady you've befriended sends very expensive gifts so be ready to pay.

Thanks a lot for your answers.

I tried native expansion. I even finished it. I conquered all places except the last one (At the last castle, the game crashed). My army was only a huge cavalry consisting of cavalier and dark knights/lords. I was simply unbeatable....

I installed the battle sizer, but my computer is not that powerful so in fact I cannot raise the size to more than 100.

Sword of Damocles is considered quite challenging once the invasion shows up, or so I've heard.

And just for the record, EGIII increases the game difficulty to a higher standard than NE. Playing with perma-death activated makes for a whole new game.
