Gain renown and honor, lose party size

Nothing changed with my character, I just fought a few more battles and gained some renown and honor.  One companion leveled up and gained tactics (now having more than me).  Why would my party size drop (and by so much too)?

renown: 1689
honor: 101
morale: 98
party size: 146
party size modifiers: base: +20 leadership: +28 charisma: +14 renown: +84


AFTER:
renown: 1751
honor: 114
morale: 99
party size: 114
party size modifiers: base: +10 leadership: +20 charisma: +14  renown: +70

I can only think 1 way that may be happened..
Sometimes (very rare) when u lose a fight or siege u lose 1 point of skill like charisma strength etc.
The game informs u about that in a screen but most times i skip these screens i think maybe u did the same
If u lose 1 point of charisma and your leadership decreased that would make some sort of sense..
Even though that u lose many party slots

Try changing the game difficulty. At easy Campaign AI you get a larger bonus to leadership.

The loss in party size came mostly from loss of leadership.  I have never noticed this before, but theorectically if you are injured and in the red, you skills are lost until you heal up (back into the green. think it is > 20% health).  Since your leadership skill is a personal skill, if you finnished the battle with less than 20% health, you may lose your leadership abilities...you get +5 for each point.

Ahh... thanks, that was it.  I'd changed Campaign AI from medium to good.  Somewhat misleading title for that setting.
