It looks so amazingly silly.
I hope that they start pulling
**** like this on all the absurdities.

Might be the perfect revolution.

It's /b/, right (based on all the memes they use)?

Still, it's a great way to protest. Anonymously posting mysterious messages on the internet, appearing masked in public... it's giving me ideas now. *dashes off to form a political ideology*

That is so great! I giggled my way through that page, all the while wishing I'd been there

Not everyone was /b/, the internet isn't just /b/.
Memes are pretty much universally understood in "cyber-culture".
But yes anyway, this was hilarious.

This is truly epic

Actually, no.  Its a good portion of general internet users, random college kids, and others.  I was with a group of maybe eight to Pittsburgh's protest, (we met about 30 more there) only four of which browse either SA or the *chans, and only two are posters.

Merentha participated too (although not with /b/)
Hell yes.

edit:  For a more thorough report, there were an estimated 7k protesters at 91 locations worldwide.  Most protests achieved at least a small spot on their local news, with larger ones (such as the Clearwater one) receiving a showing from national news sources.  (Oh, and the CoS in Atlanta called the SWAT teams out on completely peaceful protesters.  They marched up and basically watched the Anons holding signs.)  In the near future, Newsweek should be running an article about it as well.

And throwing axes, arrows, javelins, and river pirates.

XD

How many other protests have been organized anonymously over the internet? Or is this a historic occaision for more than just teh internet culture?

To my knowledge, this is by far the largest protest of this nature.

Ah, thanks for that. But you do have to admit that 4chan is exactly what you would get if you were to compress the whole entire internet community into one website
