i havent seen this yet in one of the post here but doesnt anyone gets annoyed by the friendly fire if your team is too crowded you end up shooting yourself
why dont they just undo damage that arrow is suppose to do?

about the kill steal i never realy get that. who's kill is it the one that fights him or the one that kills him?

that's a really good point lol.

but as for the arrow damage, it's a way to prevent stupid flock shooting. i'd be all for the idea (though lacking in the realism department) that you damage yourself instead of your teammate when you shoot them in the back w/ an arrow. OR give them the option. like 'press 1 to slap them' 'press 2 to deal an equal amount of damage to them' 'press 3 to ignore' etc.

bad idea, id stick to the realism..

and why?

i'd like to hear your opinion in it's entirety.

please include a reason in future posts. helps reduce clutter.

I also detest the FF system. Getting killed because an allied mounted dude suddenly rides into your arrow out of nowhere (hooves are also way too silent! What are these, ninja horses?) is very frustrating and just plain unnecessary. The times I take damage from hitting a fighting teammate are nothing compared to the number of times someone just walks/rides into my line of fire, simply because you can predict the movement of 2 fighting men, and not of some random dude not paying attention to his surroundings.

Bottom line, there shouldn't be friendly fire, except for maybe in the strict rules server, because the people playing there are sado-masochistic freaks anyway. >_>

While I do like battle mode, and the gold system in it is the best one since it actually allows me to get and keep decent equipment, having to wait up to 5 minutes to ****ing respawn is extremely tiresome most of the time.

And it's almost the ONLY mode people play on the US servers >_<

i understand your frustration. perhaps when real servers are up, there will be a FF toggle option for admins. i personally think that FF is a necessary evil. it keeps archers honest.

*on a side note, does anyone advocate melee FF?? i don't, but if someone does i'd like to hear your reasons.

No, melee FF would be impossible to avoid most of the time, especially when 2 or 3 guys are fighting the same enemy or fighting in a tight space.

i agree. i'm looking for somebody to disagree.

there are pinpoint close combat options (thrust and chop)... not everything brings you 3 ft to either side... just a thought.

whats ff?

Bring in melee Freindly Fire! It would stop the cluster****ing one guy with ten people all swinging randomly

Yeah. and defending choke points will end up with 50% of the people commiting suicide thanks to friendly fire.

As a server side option it couldn't hurt. I've played teams on deathmatch game mode, and the team friendly fire actually added a fun element to melee combat. Made fights more tactical than just rushing and hacking.

I sympathize with the OP. Online games of this style are never what you (at least some of us) expect. This is because many players will do anything to win - if you think exploiting game mechanics and glitches is bad, just wait till the games goes live and hack/cheats start to appear on the web for it. This is the nature of such games and the player population.

The good news is that M&B is not an MMORPG, but first and foremost a single player game. Treat the online part of it as a fast pace entertainment and an added bonus to the offline campaign. In other words - don't take it too seriously, it is not the main game.

So there are new animations for the weapons!!! No wonder I am having so much trouble.  I thought I had gone mad
last night, the swords and axes were swinging very strangely when compared to the regular game but I figured I was seeing lag affect my swing. Change it back to the regular game way please.

Oh and what is it with Nekid people running around hacking up people like they are standing still, holy crap.
I picked the best armor possible and still was cut down like I was standing around with my thumb in my ass.
Does armor matter at all? It seems like it has no effect on damage reduction.
An unarmored person should have better range of movement and speed, but against an armored opponent should
have a hard time doing damage.

There also needs to be a jumping cool down bar, too much jumping going on last night. I do not mind the action and I
would argue that this game needs that motion for obstacles and such but jumping continuously is right out.
