vassal in one of your fiefs if he dosn't have his own

renown is logical for warband, the higher renown you have, the less renown you get from battles etc
 
No, that's not what he means I think.

When starting a battle, it says something like "this battle is worth 25 renown" but then at the end of the battle, when you press Tab, it says "you gained 18 renown". Fpr some reason the estimate given to you at the battle start is too high compared to what you actually get.

Are they not calling the same function?
 
alavaria, try to battle with cheatmenu on, then after the battle you will see the renown you get is actually the renown they said at the begin of the battle with a certain amount taken of because of your already high renown.

kinda logical its hard to get famous when everyone already knows u right?

Hey guys :smile: Firstly, brilliant work with the mod, absolutely loving it, seems great already, cant imagine how good it will be as the final version :L

Sorry if these questions have been asked elsewhere/should be posted elsewhere, been trawling these forums for the past hour or so so thought it was easiest just to ask it now :L

The biggest thing is that i can no longer fight field battles, when i first started playing i could no probs, became a lord with Aden and all was well, once i got a couple of random crashes in a row from a battle but avoided it next time n was fine, then the next (real life) day while travelling past Dawa castle i got a couple of random crashes again until i went in the opposite direction. Yet all of a sudden lately when fighting battles they started crashing, it gave no reason,just crash saying mount and blade warband has stopped working, a problem has caused the game to stop working correctly. Most notable one was when it allowed me to fight the first battle, my 123 vs Haringoths 173, but when fighting the 2nd half of it, my 119 vs his 23 it crashed after being in the battle about 10 secs. Fought this battle a good 2-3 times, restartin my comp as well but no difference. Now however, around the time of starting my own kingdom, any battle i fight will crash in the first 15 secs, seiges it seems absolutely fine with, never had problems, but any field battle, against 200 swadians or 25 bandits, will crash, no idea why :S Tried several of the crash fixes already listed n hasnt helped :/ Its just so annoying as i was really addicted to SoD :L Running windows 7 with 123% performance on m&b:w

Also, when you mention 'I know I need a "Dummy" King (Fake King)' earlier, is that the reason why since starting the game, my relationships with all the 'away lords' kept dropping? :smile:

And is the reason i can't find any imperial gear in the shops because they haven't been priced yet or something? :smile:  Sorry for the long question :L
 
Yeah, i tried some of the crash fixes, the ones i could do anyways, they didnt make a difference :/ Only one i didnt try was the VM one, only cus me being a dumbass couldnt find the option to change it on W7. I downloaded the mod about 3 days ago so im guessin its the most up to date one or has a patch been released since then? :smile: And i went to 3 imperial towns and the only imperial stuff they sold were horses, no armour/weps

I have some questions:

1. When do you think 4.0 for warband will be released?

2. I saw that you have completely removed regiments, do you have any plans on brining them back somehow. I really loved regiments, it added alot of strategical value.
Maybe have only companions/nobles be able to create regiments based on their leadership/charisma skill?

3. Will the "Activate Cheat Menu" button in the camp menu be avaible in 4.0?

4. Will you be adding more armours? I would love to see Narf's Rus Armour Pack(http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,160392.0.html) implemented.

here are some answers. DOnt thake the first one personally.

1) No one knows.  BTW dont ask this to much, people will really start flaming you for it (flaming is insulting etc) (just a hint :wink: )

2) They will come back under the leadership of  the nobles (you know the one you can recruit). The party size of the regiments will depend on the nobles leadership.

3) just type "cheatmenu" in the text bar if you want to cheat. To do this click on the button under ESC type disablecheatmenu to turn it of.

4) More armors, maybe, we got quite a lot more armors than other mods tough. Could be possible in the future.

If I do add armors they'll most likely be from Wei.Xiadi's armor package since the colorful looks of them fit well with SODs colorful theme. Not Everything is a rugged and dark look in SOD. This is one reason why I don't use graphic packs like Polished Landscapes. I'd rather for the mod to look like Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion with the Natural Landscapes mod installed. Color for me is what I'm aiming for. Just as long as things don't look too pretty.

Do exactly what Dr. Pringles just said. Don't keep playing that the game when that occurs. Otherwise you'll find more glitches.

My version is International, and may be victim of some weird gear mix-up (see http://www.mbrepository.com/file.php?id=1751#c_15461)
Version = 3.0B1 (3.0B + patch)
TweakMB has been used to modify ~some~ parameters. OK, almost all. *Twinkfest*
troops.txt : Player was altered (STR + items added) *Twinkfest*
items_kind.txt : items added *Twin... you get the idea.
 
well uh i odnt know if im in the right palce but uh wen i try to launch the game it dont work it says

Well, what I'm wondering: How realistic is the mod intended to be, combat-wise? I heard it's meant to be pretty realistic with kingdom management, which sounds good--but not as certain what the goal is with combat.
