The Vassal Mechanics are the same as Vanilla Warband. They weren't really changed at all; there's just not much support at the moment for people who play as Vassals and have the full features that (Player) Kings do.

@Dazereth  Your gonna have to wait on that update.

@Aposynth  The game should pop up the banner screen if you have a fief. If you don't have a fief then the game won't trigger that. Also you should be able to change your banner through your court staff I believe.

Well i forgot to mention, that i got a fief, the little village of Athwick, northeast of Panenna.
How to access the court staff?

Wait a few days and the game should ask if you wish to hire someone as chamberlain.

For constable and ....forget the name of the other... you need to own a castle or a town.

For minister (wife or companion promoted to that job), you need to have founded your own kingdom

I thought you needed a town before you got any court staff, as you need a court (town or castle) to have a staff in it
I thought it was (at least) a castle for the chamberlain, then a town for the others, and a kingdom for the minister.

But I haven't played it in ages, the answer might be in my help guide in my sig.

How long? I'm totally playing your mod exclusively right now.

I was wondering if you could do something about regiment speeds and them fleeing from battle. Even when accompanying you they'll buckle and flee if they personally do not outnumber the enemy. Small issue, I know just wondering if there's anything that can be helped for it.

If im not mistaken its something that can be edited on your end by changing their courage in partie template, i like using morgh editor to do so. Unfortunately to take effect i belive a new game is needed , hopefully your not too far into your current game.

You can definitely get the chamberlain with just a village, he stands right next to the village elder most of the time but some villages you have to hunt for him, but I think you have to wait until the first or maybe 2nd tax collection after you are enfoeffed with the village.

The various hirelings are part of the diplomacy mod, so I popped over there to look up a definitive answer regarding when/how they show up.

Village:  Can only have a chamberlain.  Popup to hire will appear after 1-21 game days (up to 3 game weeks)
Castle:  Can have Chamberlain and Constable.  Can take up to 3 game weeks for each popup to appear.
Town:  Can have Chamberlain, Constable, and Chancellor.  Again, up to 3 game weeks for each popup to hire.

Rule your own kingdom:  You can have all of the above hirelings plus can assign a prominent citizen, companion, or your spouse to perform Prime Minister duties.  With a prime minister, you can immediately hire any missing staff members.

You are not making it easy to wait, Computica. I've enjoyed your work lot upn't till now, so I'm sure whatever you put out next will be even more fun. Thanks for all the great work!

@Dazereth  The type of update I'm making isn't what your expecting. I've been rebuilding the mod from the ground up. I just haven't involved the community yet.
It's good to see you putting the time and energy into this mod to make it even better for all of it. I've noticed some of your original ideas and they've been great so far. Like the other guy said, it's hard to wait!

hello,

i want to know if you release a new version will be there a building queue or a listed menu, because at the moment there are many buildings and towns.
so building all the stuff is really horrible micromanagement, visit town build.......visit town build and so on.
an overall building menu would be great and a overall tax menu too, so that all castels/towns/villages are listed and you can change tax and build from there instead of  visiting Chamberlain or the towns...

greetz trance

Well as you just said you can visit your chamberlain and get an overall build list for towns and villages? So you don't have to visit every town and village to build things, just your court.

we do however intend to improve and increase UI and Interface systems.

yes there they listed but i mean a menu where you dont have to click each villiage to build something.

i mean something like this:

villiage    tax                                    build

name      low (button to change)    no build (button to select an building to build, if something is in contruction then it displays building name + days to build)

it would be much easier to handle a big empire with a menu like that, if you really need money for a short period of time you can raise the tax easy and fast (doing that with the current menu, it would be a clickfest) and a huge empire = many buildings to build, so this would be easy and more comfortable too

i think the work on such a menu would be worthwhile because of this huge map
