French army training?

Hey there,

Looked around for a training section in the forum for the French units and regiments. I thought it might be an idea to have the french commander **For events** train with the different regiments, find their capabilities and their weakness' so that we don't get our arses handed to us when we fight in an event due to the 'strangeness' or unfamiliarity of fighting alongside other regiments.

Would also be a decent event in itself i think

Just an idea, feedback would be nice

U will find that these will happen a lot when an event is actually announced (like with Waterloo) and a commander is chosen. However, you could always do joint training with other regiments.

aye, i was just thinking that if all factions did it then would boost each units reputation in the army, and get commanders and captains familiar with one another. then when we do events, i'd like to think that the battles would be fiercer, more tactical and less errors.

I agree after participating in the sunday battle. Wrong commander for france.
But the monday battle went fine, so there are commanders that already feel comfortable.

kudos to you smithy  always  thinking ahead

i think this is a great idea! somthing the british regiments should also consider!

As  you explained it will help regimental commanders & surpreme commanders get the experice needed, also helping to learn what regiment is best placed were etc, gelling together a fully operational army for more decisive wins

hope to see this idea taken on board

Me to, the commander on sunday wasn't bad, just not used to cavalry i dont think

But yh, REALLY hope we can get this organised, it would in a way, be an event on its own  practicing ARMY formations and tactics. seeing all the units in formations would be quite epic i think
