Playing either version 1.172 or 1,173 of Mount and Blade with the original, non-reworked, non-repolished Brytenwalda. I'm 500 days in. I had some crashes when initiating sieges, the frequency of them occuring went down significantly when I lowered battle size from 500 to 400. Everything is on max, excluding antialias. I have a powerful GPU CPU and lots of fast RAM.
Now, at random intervals when I'm roaming the map, seems to happen more so when I ctrl-space to fast travel, the game freezes. The music still plays, the mouse still moves, but I can't interact or do anything. I can't even alt-tab or otherwise escape from the game, ctrl-alt-del doesn't work, the game completely locks up and freezes my computer.
I never had this problem, and now I haven't been able to play more than 30 in game days without it freezing.
I don't know what to do. Is my version number wrong? Is my game bugged? Could some of my settings just be too high?
Any help is appreciated.
