Summary:
Game keeps completely freezing on campaign map. Game music continues to play even when the game is frozen. It does not CTD and I can't close it via steam. I have to go to the task manager and close bannerlord.

Mouse studders slowly across the screen while frozen in game. Steam overlay shows 46fps (obviously incorrect).

Task manager shows bannerlord is using of 45% memory at over 2100 MB. Also shows its using 14% cpu usage. Shows 30% gpu usage. Power usage shows very high.

No error message is shown after freezing.

Escort caravan quest bugged a long time prior to this incident. The caravan disappeared after a battle. Unsure if this is related to freezing.

Started bannerlord in safe mode. Same outcome.

Verified game files, same outcome.

Updated drivers yielded interesting result. When bannerlord freezes, gpu goes from nearly 50% down to 0% usage, according to the task manager. Memory and cpu remain the same as before.

After closing bannerlord via task manager, cpu and memory return to normal.

If there is any other way I can help, please let me know.

Literally the exact same thing happening here. Nearly the exact same pattern...mouse is still smooth on-screen after freeze, though.

Took caravan escort quest. Caravan disappeared from map after third battle. I continued to city (Mazea (sp?), if I remember correctly) thinking it might be there, but it was not. Decided to move on and "abandon" the quest.

Traveled around, picked up a quest from Rhagea (sp?), went to do that and froze. Reloaded and froze. Safe mode and froze. Tested things and found reproduceable freeze.

For me, any time I enter forested terrain on the campaign map the game freezes.

I show lower percentage on memory usage -- I have 16 gb, and it stays about the same. CPU about 25%. GPU I did not check.

How to Reproduce:
Travel into forest terrain.

To investigate the freeze issues we need you to create a dump file and send it to us so that we can investigate the issue with more data.

Navigate to the game's installation folder. Navigate to the bin\Win64_Shipping_Client folder.
Write cmd to the address bar.
If your issue is in Multiplayer, paste this command line and press enter:
Bannerlord.exe /multiplayer _MODULES_*Native*_MODULES_ /anticheat
If your issue is in Singleplayer, paste this command line and press enter:
Bannerlord.exe /singleplayer _MODULES_*Native*SandBoxCore*CustomBattle*Sandbox*StoryMode*_MODULES_

This will launch the game without the launcher.

When you launched the game this way play the game until the game freezes. When the game freezes open the Task Manager and find BannerlordStarter under the Processes tab. Right-click on BannerlordStarter and press "Create Dump File". This will create the dump file which has the data we need to investigate the issue.
The dump file will be located in the \AppData\Local\Temp location. The name of the file will be Bannerlord.DMP. The file size will be around 2.5 GBs but it mostly has empty memory files so zipping it will get you around 200-250 MBs files. Please select the highest compression level when achieving the dump file.
