Freeze after final siege

I've been wiping out all the factions in the name of the Nords and I only had one castle belonging to the Swadians left. The siege was a success but as soon as the screen returns to the world map it freezes. I'd saved just before I started the siege and captured the castle 3 times now, and every time is the same.

The last time I just left it to see if it would wake up. After about 5-10 minutes it came up with 'Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library - Runtime error' and it closed.

I looked at the 'rgl_log.txt' file and it's 128MB and filled with:

I tried looking for similar cases but could only find these and there are no solutions:

My savegame just before the siege is fine so I suppose I could just leave that one castle, but it's fairly annoying to say the least after spending all this time trying to conquer the land. Any suggestions?
 
I'm getting the same thing trying to capture Reyveydin, which is the last site held by the Khergits (don't ask...).  Really frustrating.  I've tried several troop combinations, so it doesn't seem to be related to that.  I've also tried not looting/recruiting/capturing, none of which helped.

I'm using the Native Expansion mod.
 
OK, I managed to get by this one by sitting on the castle for a while until the lords made a run for it, then picked them off and attacked the castle afterwards.  Seems OK now.
