There might already be a way to disable it, I would suggest checking the forums at the project's website. (Which is http://sc2.sourceforge.net) I haven't played it for a while, and can't even remember it HAVING a time limit.

I did post on their forum about it, but i haven't gotten any real replies except people saying that the time limit is a good thing! "A work of genius" or something as someone put it. Good lord...thats like saying M&B would be better with a time limit. But then again, i'm sure someone out there would like that idea.... Heck, why buy the full game, the demo functions as a time limit!!! yay!!!! 
Anyway, i'm sure it wouldn't be too hard to make a simple patch that removes that little "game over" script...

ya, i found that when my buddy, ran up to me shouting about he had the level 54 sword of great domination, and the shield of lionleg, i went to see what the comotion was to see him repetitively hitting a cow in a field in the same choppy motion, with random hit markers flying from the cow.DaLagga 说:

The community on RS sucks, too. You ask for help and you get A) ignored or B) insulted.
I have a level 55 guy... good crafting skills. Blacksmithing, mining, crafting, runemaking, etc... thats how my guy leveled up. All skills = experience. I crafted my way to high levels. I went from level 53 to 55 purely on mining and blacksmithing, and cutting the gems I mined up also, so I could combine them with gold bars in a furnace and make.. necklaces. Oh goody. In a day I made like... 50k. Then, I died with the gay little PK Skull over my head, while wearing best armor and weapon for non-paying players. I lost all of my items, the 35k I had on me, and some other stuff. I went from filthy rich (the armor alone was worth 130k+, along with a 50k+ sword, that and the 35k = 215k+) to dirt poor.
Runescape is gay. I wanna kill Andrew Gower or w/e his name is.
Him and his unhackable java game.

yack! that game is hoorrrible.
reasons:
1) pfft even I can make game whit better graphics.
2) its full 10-13 years old idiots who spam words "n00b, lol, omg, I HAVE MORE LVL's I AM BETTER" etc.
3) whole fighting system and every else system sucks... EVERYTHING
4) its way too simple for normal person, only retarded ppl play it
5) its boring! what is there?? You run like 1000 times between Iron mining place and store get money buy better pick axe go mine better resources like coal and do that all again. what more I can say? oh, yeah, sucks.

this game is still in alpha, but they have HUGE forums, pretty much a free for all. Don't go unless you have thick skin, you will get flamed.
right now all you can do is buy clothing, fish, gamble, and talk to others on the forums. They're building a battle system at the moment.

Here's a free downloadable game http://www.wesnoth.org/index.htm by the name of WESNOTH.
It's a turn-based fantasy strategy game that has gotten some favorable attention at the gaming forums I usually post at: Octopus Overlords and Quarter to Three.
Personally, I have no strong impression - either favorable or not - because with M&B and my work, I haven't played it much.
It appears to be more a labor of love by a small team who designed it for themselves: people say the graphics really are primitive but they love the strategy.
For fans of old-timey turn-based gaming like myself.
