As you said limiting your frames doesn't reduce lag, it simply makes everything running at lower frames so the difference between a 120 fps screen, and 30 is less noticeable, but the problem is still there.

I've also this kind of problem, very low performance on very low settings with a medium-high system (and this game hasn't got good graphics at all compared to modern games, but is still very demanding), it seems to me that once you exceed a certain number of players in a server, or you play a plain map where you can see really far your fps drops a lot, which isn't good for a game like this.

[size=10pt]Same opinion is here!

yes exactly. if you have a high end pc, your fps will usually be around 120. if then drops down to 70 (which is still totally fine) it seems to you that it is lagging and has a lower framerate than it should. :eek:
limiting your frames to like 60, 45, 30 is lowest while still getting good framerate, will fix this. you then will ahve stable 60 frames. :lol: If u limit ur framerate to 30 fps u can't have stable 60 fps but only 30! And like Horsa said before "30 fps isn't fine if your monitor has a refresh rate of 50-60, it has to be 60+ to be unnoticeable."

i am doing that with my game currently, works more than fine. :???: Or maby that has no effect and the reason is something else?! - That is only a powersave-function and no solution for a overloaded graphic board.

Compared to this, it's quite an improvement.
94 to 39 fps err... if you're happy that way :neutral:

Thanks, I am. See, the 94 was jumping all over the place, making the game unplayable, as I've already said. The 40 fps I play with now is totally stable, and the graphics are better. :neutral:

Well ok, I didn't notice any improvement in graphics and the framerate was lower, so I thought you were mad. Sorry.
