FPS Drop after new update

We have a special performance build to check for these issues by collecting telemetry data. Can you switch to that build, test your performance and send us your data?
  1. Switch to “perf_test” from the Steam betas tab. You can find more info about it here.
  2. Open the game as usual and proceed to the stage where you are experiencing performance issues.
  3. Before the performance issues start, toggle the profiling tool by holding the “right shift” and pressing the “T” key.
  4. Record for 20-30 seconds, press the toggle key combination again. Please keep in mind that, the more you record, the more upload time it will require.
  5. Find the "test.tmcap" file in the "...\Mount & Blade II Bannerlord\bin\Win64_Shipping_Client" folder. You can find the "Mount & Blade II Bannerlord" folder inside Steam’s application library folder.
  6. Finally, upload the file to the "upload.taleworlds.com" site. Please write your username and this threads URL into the description box so that we can find it easier. It is appreciated if you provide more information about your PC, what you were doing while the game was recording and your graphics configuration. If the data you are trying to upload is too big or the site fails to upload, you can use an alternative site to upload your data. If you choose to do that please left a reply to this thread with the download link.

The real 1.5.9 patch note
Major update: added FPS drop to the game

now the game is unplayable, enjoy:smile:

please note that 1.5.10 is on the way. The new patch will add new crash features, we will guarantee at least 1 players will crash each game.

Guys, guys. I get it. It's Early Access.
It's also 2021. You shouldn't add gamebreaking bugs and gigantic performance issues with every single patch. And this is on the stable branch, too. Multiplayer is absolutely unplayable, everytime I turn around I get micro-stuttering. And the game is on a SSD.

Try running the game with VSync at 60 Hz 60 FPS.I think drops have something to do with that.I see your FPS spiking to 120+ and normally that puts more stress on both CPU and GPU.If you lock it at 60 you will not stress the PC that much and it should on theory use very little of your CPU mainly.

So far I have not had a single issue with the game I have very low settings with VSync on at 60 Hz.

This is an UNRELEASED game, you just have EARLY ACCESS to it while it is STILL UNDER DEVELOPMENT.
No individual patch is the FINAL STATE of the game, it is GETTING BUILT and being ADJUSTED as DEVELOPMENT CONTINUES.
The game has been in EARLY ACCESS for a YEAR NOW and was, according to TW's STATEMENT ALREADY SUPPOSED TO BE RELEASED. The consistent CRASHES, SOUNDS OF DOOM, FPS DROP and MANY OTHER ISSUES are A VERY DISAPPOINTING RESULT.

Thanks. I do, however, run most games (Bannerlord included) locked at 60 frames per second and Vsync on, I found out years ago it does wonders for most games (not all!) It hasn't helped a bit, not for me at least.

It must be the new update. But yeah, it's kinda embarassing, first sound of doom, fixing that, then comes another new patch actually changing nothing to the MP, crashes, 3-4 weeks to fix that, now this issue for how many weeks?

Hey. You guys did get that xbow nerf many wanted
Personally hate xbow now tbh, it's so static and you are a huge target.

Also, no FPS drops here, imagine having fps.

Btw Sound of Doom is not gone, it just got an upgrade and is rare.

Referencing one of the earlier comments - yes it is technically in 'early access' however I paid for this game and the Frame rate was perfect patch before last, then last patch it dropped a little but still playable - now after the most recent patch it's dropped again and is almost unplayable. Really wish Devs would responsd with something simple like:

'Hi everyone - we've noted there has been a FPS drop for numerous players since the latest update - we will now revert this so you can enjoy the game again'

Why can't we have that? D:
