It seems like this must be the result of a deliberate choice, so maybe the dev team already has their own opinion about this, but here goes anyway. I notice that if you tell Marnid or Borcha just to wait for you out in the open, you have the option of then leaving some of your troops with them. If you leave them at the Four Way Inn, however, this choice is absent. Altering this would be extremely convenient, to the point that some may call it an exploit, but if you can leave one man in your service at a neutral loaction, why not others?
