Forum Profile Name Change

Here's a question to liven up a dead subforum: How would I go about getting a forum profile name change? Should I PM a moderator? If so, should I PM a specific one? etc.

I want to change it to Pawn, but unfortunately a recruit user who has been inactive for a good 4 and 1/2 or so years has the claim to the name 'pawn', and from what I can tell capitalizations don't make a name unique. So I've been creating variants (e.g. Pawn++) to think about should it be impossible for me to claim the prized 'Pawn' title. 

So anyway, does anybody know?

EDIT: Never mind... I finally found a relevant search result by going to the right board. I had previously been searching 'entire forum', which caused the list to be oversaturated with CRPG results.

UPDATE: For relevance, right now the two most likely names on my possibility list are 'Puzzled Pawn' and 'Plastic Pawn'... For some reason I'm favoring these dumb alliterations.
