So, out of curiosity, since we've trimmed down some 3-4 moderators and a Community Manager, plus clearing house on old Admins and the like, I'm curious about what the plan is from here? Particularly seeing as they were some of most erstwhile active moderators in the corps. Would like to know if there is anything in the works for replacing them.

We usually just recruit or promote as the need arises. Right now, we have more board/section mods than ever, and with users able to change their own names on a regular basis, we're coping with the number of global mods and admins that we have. There are a couple of potential changes in the works, and board/section mods have a little more freedom and support, but we don't have a long-term strategy. They tend not to work so well around here.

I'm only moderating the Scandinavian subsection because Landy promised that I could have Norway and Sweden when she takes over in 2025.

But no, no wage. That's why it's called a volunteer role.

Ulf's only moderating the Scandi section because when he owns Norway and Sweden he's going to let me build a military base there, from which I can launch excursions into Finland to steal all their Salmiakki.

and that the people tasked with managing this community learn from this.

Incidentally, still no reply from our dear leaders. Lust really is the master of "put it off till never".

We're have a group pow-wow about moderator/community stuff on the mods forum at present, so I suspect once we've finished with our feedback, you'll get something more definitive in this thread.
