Known issues with solutions available:
  1. Private messages and profile notes from the old forum could not be transferred over. We are leaving the old forums accessible (but locked) indefinitely so that you can recover anything important. You can access the old forums here.
  2. Some posts (generally ones using complex tables) were structurally damaged or modified in the transfer. You can refer to the old forums to help getting posts back to looking how they used to. Orion has also posted some helpful info on repairing such posts.
  3. Visible usernames in the new forum are also your login username. Display names are not a thing in XenForo, so those from the old forum are gone. Similar to the old forums though, we allow names to be changed once every 6 months (available in your account settings). The difference to note is that you are changing your login name as well now, so be sure to update your login info accordingly.
  4. For those who do not like dark themes, the standard XenForo theme is available. In the lower left corner of most pages you will see a paintbrush icon with the current theme name, which by default is "TaleWorlds". You can select the theme you want to use there. Note that we are planning to eventually add a theme based on the style of the old forums.
  5. Some usernames were also changed in the transition, generally due to them containing commas, which are not allowed in usernames in XenForo. If your username was changed, you will need to update your login info to reflect the new username. These are the affected users:

Known issues with pending solutions:

None.

Fixed issues:
  1. Some extra profile fields that were transferred from the old forum are currently not working correctly.
  2. "Time spent online" profile info is currently formatted poorly.
  3. Forum ranks are not yet posted in the Help section.
  4. Sent PMs in the old forum are currently unavailable.
  5. Old links to the forum don't all redirect correctly. In particular, Google's cached links (which will be updated as they crawl back through our forums) are in a format that isn't covered by our redirect script yet, but occasionally links elsewhere might also be in that format.
  6. Board moderators weren't showing up within the Modding section. Also, the top breadcrumb within the Modding section was missing categories.
  7. The profile option to disable profanity censoring is gone. This is being worked on.
The option "Disable censoring of offensive words" is now available in your preferences under "Content options".
  8. Board moderators (for tournaments and mods, and others) still need to be set back up properly. Apologies, but this might take a while, as it will be a long and tedious process on our end.
  9. Custom titles as they exist currently overwrite your forum rank.
If you had a custom title in the old forum and want it restored, please contact one of our Global Moderators to add it back for you.
  10. When viewing a Category in the Groups area:
-The page links at the top don't work correctly. As a workaround, you can add "&page=2" to the page URL to get to page 2, as an example.
-The "Filters" dropdown results in "the requested page could not be found" error. Filters also don't work to sort the list of groups.
  11. Events for Groups are not currently working and are temporarily disabled.
Events can be created in Groups by group admins and moderators.
  12. In the Media section, when adding something from Imgur, only "/gallery/" links currently work, and the display of those is messed up.
Both "/a/" and "/gallery/" Imgur URLs now work in the Media section, and they display properly now.
  13. People in a Group with the admin or moderator role can't currently moderate other users' threads and posts within their Group's discussion forum.
Within Group discussion forums, people in that Group with the admin or moderator role can now edit, sticky/unsticky, and lock/unlock threads, view and optionally undelete any deleted threads, and can delete/undelete any posts (as well as view deleted posts). People with the admin role can also delete any threads and edit any posts.
Note that our Global Moderators for the forums as a whole will also be able to see and recover any deleted threads and posts, and see a history of all post edits. Any reported abuse of these Group forum moderation capabilities can therefore be easily investigated and handled if necessary.
  14. Some custom forum ranks (like External Developer and Forum Legend) are gone. These we are planning to replace with new badges.
These should all be handled now.
  15. In the advanced search page, modding forums are not available in the "search in forums" list.
This was just fixed. The Modding section is now available at the bottom of the "search in forums" list.
  16. Categories which you have minimized using the "^/V" symbol eventually all revert back to opened.
This was fixed as part of our recent large update.
  17. In boards which have thread prefixes, it would be useful to be able to perform a search and specify prefixes at the same time. No promises.
This can now be done in the advanced search form under "Search threads"; you can specify search Keywords along with Prefixes and choose the forum(s) you want to search in. Being available directly in the forum in question would be nicer, but it works.
  18. We will probably be adding a few more supported languages beyond English/Turkish/Russian.
We added Traditional and Simplified Chinese a while back. We may still add other languages, but language availability is a bit spotty for XenForo; many languages cost money, and/or require jumping through hoops to get, and/or get very outdated without updates available. They're also frequently just abandoned after a while, even the paid ones.
Added features:
  1. You can now start a Conversation with no recipients, just yourself. This can be used for storing notes. Or just talking to yourself.
  2. A new "Member search" is available in the top menu under Forums > Members. This allows searching any part of a user's name.
  3. You can now ignore forums and threads to prevent them from showing up in various places. You'll see the Ignore button at the top of the page when viewing forums and threads, which will then let you choose which places you want them to no longer show up. You can modify or remove your ignored forums and ignored threads by finding those menu options in the Forums dropdown menu at the top of any page.
  4. New "[PRE]preformatted text[/PRE]" BBCode for preformatted text, which will display with a fixed-width font and extra spacing preserved.

99% of old links should now redirect to the appropriate page on the new forums correctly.

Now completed by Callum:

EDIT:
I've also updated the "Known issues with pending solutions" section of the first post to include several further issues that we know about and are planning to address.

If you had a custom title in the old forum and want it restored, please contact one of our Global Moderators to add it back for you. If you didn't and don't have one, note that we do not generally grant them by request. They are given out to specific people occasionally at the whims of our moderation staff.

Additionally, only group admins and group moderators can now invite people to the group, basic group members cannot.

There were also a few other minor bugs related to Groups that have been fixed.

Bannerlord factions have now been added to the Faction profile field.

The "What's new" link in the top menu bar is now shown on larger (non-mobile) screen sizes for quicker access to that from anywhere in the forum.

It is now possible to login to the main website using your Steam account, thanks to an update by Dundar. If you created a forum account using your Steam account, you can now use this to register games to your account. Previously this was not possible for forum accounts that were created from Steam accounts unless you had manually set a password on your forum account afterwards.
If your forum account wasn't created through a Steam login, you should continue to log in to the main website using your forum username and password. If you login to the main website using Steam login and you haven't connected your Steam account to your forum account, any registered games will of course not be properly associated with your forum account and you therefore won't have game ownership badges for your registered games.

Within Group discussion forums, people in that Group with the admin or moderator role can now edit, sticky/unsticky, and lock/unlock any threads, and delete any posts. People with the admin role can also delete any threads and edit any post. The ability for Group admins and moderators to view deleted posts and optionally undelete them will hopefully also be available soon.
Note that our Global Moderators for the forums as a whole will be able to see and recover any deleted threads and posts, and see a history of all post edits. Any reported abuse of these Group forum moderation capabilities (or accidental deletions) can therefore be easily investigated and handled if necessary.
Special thanks to Truonglv, the dev for the Social Groups addon for XenForo, for adding these Group role permissions.

New known issue:
  • Due to a bug, Group board moderation permissions are not currently working for group admins, only group moderators.
So the last post just above is true for group moderators being able to moderate posts and threads in group discussion boards (which I had tested and confirmed working), but not for group admins (which I hadn't tested). Hopefully this bug will be fixed soon, but meanwhile, at least group moderators are indeed able to moderate their boards.

Permissions for Group administrators and moderators within their own discussion forums are now fixed, so they should always work correctly. Additionally, Group admins and moderators can now view deleted threads and posts, and also have the ability to undelete them if desired.

I've tested this a bit and couldn't find any further problems with those permissions, but do report any such problems if you run into them.

The rest of the known issues with pending solutions have been addressed over time; I've just been a bit lax in keeping this updated.
Fixed since the last post above:

The last one in the list I did just fix as of less than an hour ago.

Since this thread is no longer particularly relevant after that final fix, I'm unstickying it.
