Need More Info Forming and Disbanding Armies

My playthrough has come up with two distinct issues. The 1st is when you disband an army (I was playing as Battanian). As soon as you do two things happen, all armies are stacked on top of each other on the map and the clock and time are removed. To solve this, I had to load a save and retire each army one at a time. I only did one at a time so I do not know if doing more than one would work.

2nd issue related to armies is recruitment. When we took a castle or fought a massive battle, I took my troops to villages to replenish troops. Recruitment for my Lords happened automatically but not for me. As soon as I look at the recruitment screen, I can't hire any soldiers or, if I can, there's maybe 2 soldiers left. The only solution I've found so far is to max out my Lord's troops so they stop recruiting.
