firstly i remember your 54u "regiment"
and secondly, if you want to be an officer make your own regiment. your asking them to give you a position in a regiment they worked so hard to make and that you did nothing to help build. a good word to discribe this is "mooching"

now to add to the more important discussion at hand:

maybe he can work his way up form overlord to ultimate master of the universe. and it may be an elected position but elections are easy to rig when your overlord.
