You've got my permission to use the whole thing if you want -- when it's out. I'm currently working on bows/crossbows and horse rearing. After that will be a closed beta with intensive testing, not meant for distribution or mod use. I wouldn't count on it being really released until next month.

Brilliant. Thanks. I'd be using a slightly altered version of what I think the gist of CraftMod will be. Mine will be that you can recruit or befriend a hero (not saying who) who will be able to create items for you, if you give them raw materials, like gunpowder, wood and iron, or give them two horses of the same type, and lo! Another is born after a while. And I don't mind when it comes out.
 
Well, its not in the list, but I reskinned the warrhorse so that it has one of those cloth thingies drapped over it, I call it the champion horse. And, seeing how this is a add-on mod and all, prehaps u may want it?

That'd probably take a good bit of recoding. Craftmod's crafting is player-driven, as the player goes to locations where he then 'uses' the proper equipment to initiate a dialogue with himself through which crafting is made possible. Basically, it's coded so that the player does all the work himself, and gets better at things himself.

If that's not what you had in mind, you should talk to Janus -- he's doing NPC crafting for Age of Ash.

Show us some screenshots! I might want it for Storymod and/or Craftmod, as well.

Might try to make some Khergit settlements. I love making small villages with lots of tiny eye-candy.

I have an old horse armour mesh for charger. Pretty much faithful reconstruction of Milanese horse armour in app. 1450s. It needs a bit more polishing, though.

well, that's what winter does, he uses all the cool stuff he can find and sticks it into storymod. that's one reason why it's such a great mod. you're basically trying to improve the mount&blade world with this mod, right? sounds good. i've always wanted the existing factions to be improved, especially the khergits, steppe bandits, and dark knights.
 
UPDATE: New features added -
  • Three new troops: Vaegir Lancers, Swadian Lancers, and Cavalry archers as an upgrade from mercenaries.
  • Changed faction of the Hired Blade upgrade tree to neutral. They shouldn't really be Swadians.

Oh, and I need a lance mesh tipped with a flag, like this:

Yeah, I know it's a bad picture, but it shows what I mean.


And flags for khergits, black khergits, Antler Knights, Dark Knights, Sea Raiders, Swadians and Vaegirs.

And foal forms of the different horses, stags and unicorn, for horse breeding.

No, how it'll work is that you give him the materials as items, they are removed from his inventory and are replaced with, say, a sword, after a period of time. Then, you come back and take the sword, paying him if you haven't done something to earn his friendship, not paying him if you've befriended him. Shouldn't be too hard. The hard part will be a way to choose which item you want crafting. It's a big list.
 
I suggest you make a new upgrade for fighter women, along with sword sisters, add Shield Maidens.
Shield Maidens will have a spear, a noric helm, a good shield, some chianmail-type armour, and have a higher tendency to live than sword sisters.

Ok, will do. It'll be done sometime tomorrow. I'll probably put in a jarid-throwing upgrade for the sword sister tree as well.

That's not at all like Craftmod, I'm afraid. My system is far more complex than what you're thinking of and not easily rescriptable. You should talk to Janus.
