Forest Bandit Lair feedback

Regular
The cliff on the right as you spawn needs some work.  If there's a bandit up there and my team heads up there, one or more of them almost always get stuck up there right at the edge (so being stuck they just stand there and get pincushioned).  Often teammates get stuck at the base of the rock formations as well getting pincushioned.

I also HATE the spawn system.  I don't mind so much by cave entrances as that's kind of plausible (though still annoying as hell), but to run up to engage one bandit in the open and suddenly, just as you get there, 3 (or more) others pop into existence, that's just weird and stupid and frustrating.  Load the place with bandits, that's fine, I want the challenge, but lose the teleporters.

Eh... I like it as it is.  You spawn all the bandits at once and the lairs just becomes another brawl-fest, and makes them way too hard to do in the early game.  After a while you can predict when they will spawn easily enough.

Also, learn to control your men?  If you don't want them to go up there just deal with the bandits yourself and tell them to go somewhere else.  I actually always put all my cohorts up there.  It's a good vantage point over the entire area and the sheer cliff is hard to scale, and while all the bandits are busy shooting ineffectually at them, I get behind them and wipe them out one at a time.

The only complaint I have is that this one takes so long due to all the running around. It makes sense for forest bandits to "teleport" though, they could be hiding between the trees or were a short distance from the camp and rush back to see what's going on when they hear fighting.

Right.  I think one thing they could do instead of respawning them piecemeal all over the map and making you walk back and forth between spawn points you've already cleared is, after killing a certain amount of bandits, all the remaining ones become aware of your presence and basically go on "Charge" mode, and have the "reserves" start spawning from the player's spawn point instead of just appearing from these mysterious holes in the wall that nobody can enter for some reason.

If they're hiding behind trees then they shouldn't be spawning in my face or inside of their comrades.  When I send my team off to attack one point, and charge 3 bandits by myself, which magicly turns into 7, that's not fun.  Have them spawn a short distance away at least, not right on top of me.  I like Ibo's idea, once the lair is alerted to your presence, it makes sense that they would muster to repel you.  And yes I forgot to mention in my OP that having to run back and forth between spawn points, playing whack-a-mole, is not fun either.  At least it's good XP for these things.

The trick with the respawns is this:  The game will reinforce the bandits in waves, similar to how armies get reinforcements during a battle.  Like those, they will only start showing up after a certain number has been killed.  However, UNLIKE regular reinforcements, they don't spawn immediately after that reaching that threshold.  There are "ticks" at regular intervals where the game checks the number of bandits left, and spawn more as needed. (Somebody correct me here if any of this is off)

In short:  Pace yourself.  If you find yourself steamrolling all the bandits too quickly, and you know there should still be more ready to spawn, take a breather.... DO NOT charge on to the next spawn point.  Have your followers do the same.  Just have them chill out on a hilltop near one of the spawn points, and keep an eye on your command map for the next wave to appear.
