DC0
Recruit

When the warband grows in size, feeding troops becomes tedious. They eat out supplies too fast! So I believe game would benefit (in realism and historical accuracy, too) from foragers.
Forager is a part of army, whose duties are to get food supplies from villagers along the route of warband. Foragers are mounted soldiers with additional sumpter horses to carry suppliers back to warband.
How I see foragers in game
Add "Make Forager" button to "Party" menu
User selects any mounted soldier type. Presses "Make Forager" button. This buttons should be available only if there is a sumpter horse in inventory. One horse for one forager. One soldier from selected soldier type becomes a forager. It can be up to 2 foragers in a warband. Requiring 2 sumpter horses in enventory. During travels, one forager goes to left flank of travelling warband, second to right flank.
When no active duty of foraging, forager is a usual member of fighting force. Forager selection is active until there is at least 1 unit of selected type in warband.
Add "Foraging" button to main menu
Pressing "Foraging" button brings up a list of every type of food available in game. User selects (with checkmarks) types of food he wants foragers to provide. For example, foragers must bring bread, honey and fresh beef.
Also user selects (with radio buttons) type of actions particular type of food must be acquired by: purchase or taking by force. For example, user may want to buy cheap bread and to take by force expensive honey.
Also user selects minimum quantity of each type of food. Example: 10 of honey.
When there is:
- enough space (if forager has to get 3 types of food - 3 empty slots) in inventory
AND
- sumpter horse in inventory
AND
- when there is only 10 of honey in inventory, forager automatically leaves party.
At this moment:
1) forager is temporarily removed from fighting force
2) sumpter horse is temporarily removed from inventory
Forager goes to nearest village or town. There he either buys or takes by force (according to user's choice) new complete supply of bread, honey and fresh beef. If he buys honey - cost of honey is automatically deducted from treasury. If he takes by force - village becomes more unhappy with you.
During his trip forager avoids battles (he is very fast moving unit).
Upon return:
1) forager is added to fighting force
2) sumpter horse is added to inventory
3) acquired food is added to inventory
If during forager's trip warband had a battle and all inventory space were taken with spoils of war, upon forager's return game bring up the "war spoils" interface (the same as after each battle). In this interface user selects what type of goods to be removed from inventory.
