I saw that yesterday and was quite surprised. Only  a year ago I used to play EU2 with AGCEEP extensively. I did't check the paradox forums for some time and now this cookie comes up . Has anyone tried it already? From what I've read it is basicly EU2 with extra features (that should make the difference), some graphical updates (but not too much I suppose - the graphics remain EU2-like - and I like tham that way!), and AGCEEP and one more mod integrated. So basicly in order to be up-to-date and keep playing the most recent AGCEEP mod we'll have to pay 20€ for this new 'platform'.

My cousin bought it for me, and I have to say I'm pleasantly surprised. I haven't played much EU2 to know the difference, but the realistic, event-driven alternate history suits me a lot better than the chaotic system of EU3. The interface is certainly improved, as is the map, sprites, and the AI. You also have a choice; You can play FTG without AGCEEP, or with it. I chose the latter, since the historical accuracy pleases me to no end.

Define confusing mess. To me, it isn't. But I'd have to know exactly what you didn't like about EUII in order to respond.

I got it recently I didn't spot many changes outside of Unique GFX for some countries and FAR IMPROVED interface

And I believe any newbies at Paradox games thought it was a confusing mess trust me I thought the same until recently.

In my current game I decided to try England and Im doing very well specially since I won the Hundred Years War.

Oh AGCEEP mod by the way.

Edit: Oh I unified Britain by 1460 I just got to wait the Great Britain event to fire now and wait my BB to get back to 0.

I can't remember. All I remember is "Wow, cool idea", and then "confusing mess".

I haven't played EUII for one simple detail: The lack of the ability to view units in the political map mode. Huuuge turnoff, since I never use terrain.

Aye Aye that was annoying but didn't hinder me.
