Grandmaster Knight
For Honor is Ubisoft Montreal's current project. It has a manual fighting style similar to Mount&Blade. But not as good. It stars three factions, the Knights, Samurai and Vikings. Trailer and Gameplay below.

Trailer

And Gameplay

It looks pretty decent.

Looks too much arcadey. Also instead of having some historical setting who was the retarded guy in the devs that thought it would be cool to just bring all the supposed 1337 badass warriors of completely different settings. Where is the spartans?!

It is probably the best design for a mb console variant that i have seen so far. Considering that m+k arent used for this, the dumbing down of the control scheme is a sensible decision and looking at it now, the fights still seem reasonably challenging and skill based.

Note sure what to think about the game itself yet, but I like the trailer.
Ubisoft do make great trailers. The AC trailers always look great but the gameplay lacks on most of them.

I actually like the whole era merge stuff. It's different. And isn't every single game some what unrealistic or historically inaccurate?

I'm against the hero-ified armours out of principle, they're screwing up anatomy with retarded armours once again. The only thing I really liked seeing in the game so far, aside from kinda liking the gamemode/game idea when looking at it as an arcade-game, is that there's actual use of the sword in all possible ways; aka, halfswording or hiltsmacking.

Do not look here said:
It isn't hiltsmacking, though, it's some random bull**** that makes character perform a finisher that burrows guard of sword in conveniently revealed weak-spot.

Yes it is, but it's the first time I'm seeing a legit technique like that being used in an arcade game like this. However much out of place, it did impress me somewhat.

I laughed so hard when the samurai manages to cut through plate armor.

I hope one day to live in a time where people understand that katanas don't cut through steel.

I hope to one day live in a time where people understand that armour is useful and can't just be cut by swords into ribbons as if it was a cotton t-shirt.

You are just jealous because of the superior japanese sword folded over a hundred times can cut clean through steel.
