With the Potions you can easily get your stats up and have all the points for INT - thats what I'm doing at least

Qualis Gems are hard to farm, arent they?

Yes they are, is there any way to farm Qualis beside Noldor and Noble ransom?

What?

Qualis gems... easiest method is fighting unique spawns.  With high tactics and a badass military, you can utterly obliterate even the most dangerous armies, and then get the gem from them.

Then there is the free one in Rane.  And after you have high Noldor relations, tournaments in Elecrai have a chance.

Not to mention the first Red Brotherhood chest.

I don't even know how to get to it.....
It's near the cave. Press F when you come close enough. In order to get the quest, you need to ask travellers for rumours. It eventually pops up.

Ah, okay.  Thanks!

I'm curious... does anyone actually play PoP on a fresh character or a legit exported character?  I've tried doing both but I still feel so useless by like 30 days into the game.  I'm considering making a character with 10 in all skills, 63 in all attributes, and lvl 60 because I feel like everyone else does this for this mod.  I remember seeing that video of the guy trying to wittle down a 4500-sized bandit army and there was a part where he went to party screen, it showed that he had 10(+4) in like every party skill.

I played fresh character, conquered almost all pendor near 800 days, then exported him and started new game. It was so easy it wasnt fun anymore ;>

You were that close and you quit?!  ._.

I've never imported a character.  The beginning and middle parts of PoP are the funnest for me.  It gets boring if you are so powerful that you can just press charge and go do something else for a few minutes.

In this game, I used the first 5 Qualis Gems I got on improving my own stats.  It was a major help in making me up to the task of killing higher level enemies in the first 150 days of the game.

I have a few tips for getting Gems from spawns.  The most important is to talk to a lot of lords and in taverns to generate them.  Next, target the most vulnerable ones, the adventure companies that are hired as mercs.  You need to anticipate when a major battle or battle that they have a chance of losing will happen.  You can do this by asking lords what the realm is doing.  If they are going to siege a town, it's likely that the enemy will converge their army and meet them there for a battle.  Join the battle on the side against the adventure company and hopefully you will capture them.  In the case where there is virtually no chance of the adventure company losing, they still will come out weakened, maybe weakened enough for you to attack and win.  Make sure the named spawn leader is healthy enough to spawn in battle.  If he doesn't and his army loses, he will disappear from the game forever and you will not be able to capture him.  There have been several instances where I had to help the adventure company from being defeated because the leader was injured and so if he were to be defeated, he would be gone forever.  I just follow him around then until he's healthy enough (I estimate around 26% health) and then attack.  Also keep your eye out for battles involving large spawns.  Sometimes the Ravenstern will amass their army and take out Wolfbolde.  You want to be there if they do because you will get a chance to capture him no matter how small and inconsequential your army is.

Try playing without a horse and lance.

Just get a Pendor Great Sword, an axe, and a bow.  No shield, but who cares, you kill horses with one swing, and usually their riders too.

I always play fresh. Late game I can easily get 30 in all stats through qualis gems. I put most of my stats into int and have 10 for many skills. You haven't done everything in this mod if you haven't even played without cheating or played fresh -.-. Try playing realistic with 100% damage like I have without ANY cheats and you have tried everything. I can get anywhere from 8-13 qualis gems in a game. I use all for stats.

Continuing what you said on Wolfbode, see if you can kite a Jatu spawned army in there.  Easy to do, and the Jatu just KILL him.  I helped out in a 600-600 battle.  With my 15 H.A.s....  Losses, 587 Wolfy, 59 Jatu.  And I got the Qualis.  Yeah, fun day.  XD

I rarely play past the early game (Or very early mid game). So, all of my characters are brand new. No imports, no cheats, just my pathetic character and all the powerful units in the world trying to take him down.

I mean, from the start, with all difficulty, with auto-save

Ah, okay.  Now THAT would be hard!  XD

I always play at normal damage levels and AI tactics and strategy set to good (highest setting).  I consider playing without horse to be hard.  There is limited opportunity for the player to make a big difference in battles that matter which always will be battles against heavy cav. enemies.  In those battles, the infantry/archer player will struggle just to keep alive or have to hide in a corner somewhere.  Sure you can kill a horse with a swing (unless it's a Netherworld Charger) but what about the second horse coming right behind with a lance?  What about the third?  And what about the other horse coming from behind and the one coming from the side?

I wonder how infantry/archer players deal with Jatu armies.  Sure use the terrain, but has any faced Jatu on flat terrain?  What was that like?
