Resolved For anyone in need of making sure their hardware is on recent drivers

Last time I cleaned my hard drives and reinstalled Windows and the programs I usually use and need, I used Driver Easy to update all my drivers.
I'm currently updating my sound card driver to see if it makes any difference.

The free version is a bit slow, and the download of the files is limited to about 50-60KB/s (so yes, it takes some time for bigger drivers), plus you need to manually direct the device manager to the driver downoaded files, but you'll be sure to have the most recent drivers on any of your devices connected to your PC.

I figure some others know about better programs that do the same work, if so, share them. We all need it. And uh... if nothing fixes the performance of the game, at least you'll have up-to-date drivers.

When I'm done downloading the driver for my own sound card, I'll take screenshots of how to procede for downloading/installing a driver from this program and edit this post.

Not trying to rain on your parade, but it's advised not to use programs like that because they often install drivers that aren't mean for a certain PC, or they install older ones. I've broken my computer doing this multiple times with multiple programs. The best thing to do is find your particular motherboard, GPU, and soundcard and install them manually. Updating the BIOS is almost never needed and dangerous, with little to no performance impact.

The program detects your hardware, OS and devices. You can compare the current drivers installed on your PC to the one suggested (with the date of release of the update), and make an individual download for everything.

I understand the warning, but I didn't have any issue with this particular program and it actually helped a lot. I guess being overly careful is better than taking risks, though, so it's only just a proposition. I wouldn't suggest it if I wasn't sure it's safe and reliable.

That's a good idea for comparison rather than auto-install everything. I'll try it out.

I think that a fresh OS install with the audio and video drivers is enough. I don't think you need more than that. Do it manually to avoid compatibility issues
