So, anyone else out there a fan of this series? I have been for some time now, and I must say I really enjoy this new one. Everything seems to just...work better. All the annoying bugs seem to have been worked out. I'm currently managing Atletico Madrid (inspired by their real life struggles). Brought in a midfielder and a winger, sold some useless defenders.

I managed to beat Barcelona 2-1 away, Arsenal 4-2 at home in CL, then draw with Real Madrid 2-2 after going down 2-0. That one was at home, but with Ronaldo and Kaka on their team, I was happy. Haven't lost a game yet in La Liga, completely the opposite of the actual At. Madrid. I trail Barcelona by 2 points I think, but have played one less. The midfielder I signed has been incredible, the winger less so, but still quite useful. Ridiculously impressed with what's happening, but I'm waiting for FM to screw me over and hand me a few losses to the teams that will surely be relegated. Then win 15 straight again. Oh well...

How is the auto-play game feature?

From playing it on my PSP and computer it always seems to be random/biased for the opponent.

What I always do is wait for contracts to almost expire and then I steal everyone else s players (ask them to sign a contract for when theirs ends) and then I do not have to pay a fee for them to switch.
I have turned teams in the lowest league into the #1 team in the top league. Problem is, I like to simulate all of the games. My team may be filled with 2-30 mil dollar players and I will still not win the league and then I get fired, and then they get first every season after that.

Until simulate games actually simulates them and doesn't do a coin toss I can not play.

New features...the match engine is much improved. Except defending, the defenders are pretty awful for some reason. The menus are much faster than they have been in the fast, and everything just works...better. I think the biggest feature was "shouting" at the players from the sidelines. You give them mini-instructions, such as "exploit the middle" or something, and they do that. It gives you more control over the game.

Um, the mode when the computer does everything.

I know what I am talking about, I played this a lot. It is called vacation mode I think, when it fast forwards through the days and auto plays games and other things.

I do not have the patience to watch my team destroy the other team for a few minutes even on max speed.

Oh, okay, my bad. I get you now. I don't know how well it works, but I would imagine it's poor, especially now that you get a bit more control over players with the sideline tactics.

I don't like playing the games because I think they get kind of boring when I want to finish the season in under an hour.

I like the actual managing part, mainly getting good players. I go through all of the clubs and look for cheap good players and steal players from other clubs on free transfers.
Once I get my mega team it still fails if I don't  play the games.
