Foot archer recommendation

I am thinking of playing a foot archer. What kind of army build/strategy would be good for this ?

Main goal here is to have fun so it's ok if I am using a subpar but diverse and interesting troop selection.

I think having mostly infrantry will make it the most interesting for you, use them to distract the enemy while you rain death upon them from their uncovered sides.

If you plan on being foot archer, i would avoid having any sort of cavalry. so the best choices you have are making an army of awesome Nordic infantry.

Or my favorite choice, make this huge army of archers that are so amazing, the enemy will get half way across the battlefield and lose EVERYTHING.( I did this, it was amazing)

Not Bad Suggestion! When the enemy reach you (Badly Wounded), Remember use your Nordic Axes or Vaegir Scimitar against them. Just for precaution, Had a Half dozen of Warrior from the Rhodok or Nords!

I play as a foot archer, Infantry & a mix of Archers and Crossbow men is the way to go. I usually Hold position and make archers fall back and spread out. Infantry Advance forward in front of me. and hold the line, And let the enemy charge, If the enemy come on horse back first few waves make infantry & and archers stand closer and stand ground, will block the horses and hack them down...Bbut have good Infantry for this..

Nord Infantry and Archers are great for this.

Rhodok - Sharpshooters & Sergeants are excellent as well.

Go mainly archers (Vaegir Marksmen for maximum rain of death), with 20 or so Huscarls to form a shield wall protecting you.

Firing volleys with your troops is ridiculous fun.
