Is there any difference between feeding the party meat and feeding it fish? Fish is cheaper, but does the choice affect the party in any way?

  • edit to add: I see here (point E) that food may affect morale...so, does meat increase morale? / end of edit
The weight of half-eaten food is the same as a full food. Is this an issue, or is the difference negligible?

Also, what do horses eat? I guess they eat grass, but I thought they'd like oats or something as well.

you should able to set rasions for the men to increase moral i mean come on if some one isnt getting food there not in fighting condition and they will run sooner.

Should be allowed to consume beer/wine as well...

Unless you want to see two marnids and two borchas, and have a little trouble aiming your bow or unsheathing your sword, I'd advise against that.

Horses do not live on grass alone.

Yes. They eat grass as well.

On topic, I susally buy sumpter horses. They cost the same amount as dried meat, and give above average, just like meat. I doubt the morale does anything though, but anyway.

I've noticed that morale goes down when my soldiers are forced to eat horse meat, but morale seems to be meaningless. I laugh every time I kill a horse to feed my men. That poor beast.

Can you really slaughter horses to feed your men? ANyways, I have noticed how fish is consumed faster than the meat. I usually give my troops alternating diet of meat and fish to ensure healthy hearts and strong bodies.

Everything tastes like chicken anyway. Except for the fish and dried meat of course, plus the horse doesn't taste like chicken but aside from those -

Drag and drop any horse from your inventory to the food slot, you should then get the "are you sure?" text. Then just click yes, it will make you laugh.

I just thought of why someone might have trouble getting this to work, after putting the doomed horse into the food slot you need to click the return button on the screen, then it asks you if you are sure.

You can feed the men grain and flour too... grain is very cheap and is my main food.

Actually, I don't think you can feed them flour. :S

Ingolifs, yeah. The rest of the game is very quiet and I always have to turn the volume up a lot when playing, but the horse slaughtering sound is significantly louder.

Food types affect morale, with meat at the top and grain on the bottom. Not sure where horse meat ranks. Morale has no actual function yet, though.
