Fog or Bug?

So I'm playing and all the colors are fine, the draw distance is the entire battlefield etc etc. Probably been playing a couple months game time, then all of a sudden I'm moving across the map and the map suddenly gets paler in colour, and it continues to switch between very pale, a little pale and the normal map colour, and depending on its level of pale(ness) the battlefields draw distance is affected, sometimes to the point of only being able to see a hundred feet around you, where as before (without fog) you could see the entire field, is this just meant to be fog and it comes and goes? Or is there something wrong? I'm using enhanced colours mod but seeing as all that does is change the colors I wouldn't have thought it would have any effect like this, any help?

yah its just fog besides the visuals it makes ranged less effective. Also rains nerfs Xbows

I havent even seen rain yet, I've played through native completely dominating the map, played half of 1257, half of knights beta, now im playing through eagle and radiant cross and still not seen rain.

Precipitation & other weather effects are generally rare. Last time I had fog was in a battle in v. 0.903 in TEATRC and the last time I had rain was in a game of Native v. 0.960

The developers kinda 'removed' rain after .808 it seems.
