Make sure to save a copy of your savegame and the old version to be safe. Wouldnt want to break you LP :wink:

Just downloaded and installed the 2.52 patch, and it seems that Pre-Battle Orders are not working.
I mean at the beginning of a battle they just stand doing nothing, or just rush to the enemy ignoring the Pre-Ordered battle plan I made.
 
Sorry Duh, Power went off in my house while I was playing the savegame and now when i load it back, warband crashes =/.

It works fine in new games, I also like when one jumps into battle. Its not anymore like entering a new scene. It feels smother now. BTW did you guys fixed the tavern of Tulga?

I am not him, but I also have insurgents in every settlement.

Did you modify anything with the source or files for 2.5?  The insurgency menu is a clear save game break indicator for Floris and happens when global variables get misaligned.  The problem is it should be happening to everyone, not just select people if the patch was the cause.
 
I modified the bandit respawn rate and the number of bandit groups who could follow a bandit hero as was described here:

and use the particle_systems.txt for less dust.

But nothing else... Could that be it?

edit: I loaded my savegame in a fresh installed 2.5. No problem. Saved it. upgraded to 2.52. Loaded the game. Insurgents.

The only other not totally usual: There was a player kingdom for about one day when I took a city just to run to the next king and became his vassal. Since then I can ask my chancellor (or one of the other two guys) about lords of my own kingdom, but the list is obviously empty. So there might be something in the 2.5 savegame about a non-existing kingdom that causes problems in 2.52.
 
I'm using Floris Mini Mod by @Kinsume. That mod changes the stats so I guess that will make 2.52 not save compatible.

Probably not since I did not have that in my game and I have the insurgents error going from 2.5 to 2.52.

As long as he did not add items it should be.  We are still not sure what is causing an incompatibility yet.  All the same backup your Floris folder if you are concerned about your current game.

No he didn't add items whatsoever. I'll backup my folder just in case. Thanks for the new changes. Is worth all the 320+mb download.

I download the patch, copy the contain in the "module" folder, and try to play with floris expanded mod and got a CTD in the load page : get_object fail for texture : ext_itm_sar_t7_veilled_c_normal

Archer balance seems to be great. Power Draw Bows 1-3, doing cutting damage and the 10% accuracy nerf were definitely the answer! Cutting bows still pose a threat to lighty armored troops and will whittle down War Horses and occasionally knights if they aren't careful.

So far 2.52 is a great success. Though I have no idea why Slaver Chiefs were given bows that kill. They are slavers, not killers  :grin:.
 
Unless you use the actual bow to hit sb, i wouldnt know of a way to use an arrow for blunt damage.  :razz:

Could you share your rgl log after a crash with us? You can find it in your warband directory :wink:

Ouch, how could I forget that yestareday night: When I load the 2.52 savegame in 2.5 game crashes but tells me something about 104vs98 quests (or so). Maybe those added quests cause the problem?
If that is a poissibility, can I just delete 6 placeholder-quests and change the number in the second line of quest.txt from 104 to 98?
 
The added quests come from Freelancer's move towards a quest based system.  This makes it impossible to take a 2.52 save game back to 2.5 (without a lot of work), but should not affect a 2.5 save game being loaded into 2.52.
 
Ahhhh, well. Then gameplay 2.50 just has to do it for me at this moment.

But I tried expanded 2.52 yesterday night. Until my computer was overwhelmed (as expected) it was really, really cool. Great work!
 
Is it necessary to survive a round to collect your bets?
I had made the points i set with bid slider, but died later in the round. ---> no cash at the end  :lol:
If the answer is yes, then bidding on 2 points is just a question of survivability, and from what i've seen it's the most well paid bet with the minimum of risk (2 teams of 5 gets you 1400 with a bid of 2)

Also, tournament related : after the first round, in round rankings the winner was reported with 6 points ( 3 kills, 2 survival, 1 team with most points). when switching to tournament standings, the same winner has 8 points. 

LE : This might be definitely a bug : each participant in tournament gains 2 extra points from one round to another, that is everyone but me  :evil:

Monnikje investigated this and the files are fine. A reinstall/reapplying the patch should fix things for you. If not - post your rgl log after a crash.
